has anyone reported this bug where the AP and UN votes are coming up at the same time? I actually won a UN victory on the same turn that an AP vote came in (which I did not win - no one had enough votes for the religious victory... wonder what would happen if they did?) but I won a UN vote. I thought the United Nations was supposed to make the AP obsolete once it's built. I didn't even build the UN in this game and was going for a domination win, but I had the votes so what the heck.

The AP option to vote and results came up before the UN each time, but on the same turns!

this is not a bug, the AP is obsoleted by Mass Media, but as with any wonder the owner must know the obsoleting tech, so it is well possible for a more advanced civ to build the UN while the AP is still active...

oh thanks, that explains it! now I wonder what happens if someone else wins the AP vote on the same turn as I win the UN vote! seems like this part of the equation was not thought through. I understand that in theory the two could coexist for other types of voting but the victory options can contradict (although I think once the UN is built, the AP should be obsoleted and that would be better)
