View Full Version : Unexplained recurring CTD

I'm getting a CTD when I hit End Turn.

I've read through various threads, made sure I'm fully patched with both official and unofficial patches. I've entered the World Builder in the game and looked around. I have no idea why it is happening.

I've re-played the game from an earlier save, doing everything differently. The CTD happens on the same turn, regardless.

I'm running the Blue Marble mod. Otherwise my game should be clean.

If anyone wants to have a look, I'm attaching the save.

To reproduce, simply press End Turn. Game should crash

Thanks.

does not crash in normal 3.13, I could not test it with Bhruic's patch since I have installed it as a mod and it won't allow me to load the game in a mod.
I don't have Blue Marble installed, maybe blame ColdFever ;)

Did not crash in normal 3.13? Well, that's interesting. I only applied the unofficial patch after getting the CTDs.

Very curious.

(Oh, Ori -- just a thought. Could you make a savegame at the beginning of the next turn and upload it? I'd be curious to see what happens if I try and load that...)

And thanks for taking a look at it!

this is the autosave that the game made when I just proceeded one turn - I think that should do, if not tell me and I'll make a manual save sometime tonight. Also tell me when you have the save, I like to remove unnecessary files as long as I still remember them :)

No problem, and thanks a lot! I'll download it as soon as I'm back from work. Two hours or so...

Thanks, Ori, it's downloaded.

I'll give it a whirl a little later.

Ah. No good, I'm afraid :(

The save crashes as I try to load.

I will try to run it without Blue Marble. However, if you could be bothered making a manual save, Ori, it might be interesting to see if that'd make a difference.

In any case, thanks for your help!

I'll do it, might be tomorrow morning until I can upload the manual save :)

I did a full re-install. It seems to have solved the problem.

Merry Christmas all!
