is there anyay to gaurantee that i start on my own land mass? without having everybody also having thier own land mass as well, i mean i want evrybody to start together while i have my own island

R_Rolo (and other hosts before BTS) handpiked those starts to ensure a isolatedposition. A Couple of Leaders to choose from, each playable on different levels (at least in the gmaes hosted by r_rolo) are avaiable.

The only other thing would be custom map scripts. You could browse the Maps and Scripts forums...

I hate isolated starts, it can become hard to gauge how you are doing and expansion becomes a problem, as do finances post-astronomy expansion.
