This map is a special map from the PTW expanshion of my civ III complete edition (thats both PTW and Conquest)
This story starts out in the middle of the story of the Greeks rise to power and will continue to follow the greeks through modernization and conquest. This also will reveal the forbiden past to the people and add a nice twist to the story.
Basic layout 6 islands 3 on each side (but the world raps around the X-axies so were all neighbors)which 1 civ per island responds, this land is a mix of desert, hills, grassland, and plains with no natral resources. A chain of mountains comeing out of the ocean looping around in a wide rectangle like shape with no land to settle on, there are a few open spots for ships to get in, a loop of small island inside the 1st mountain chain they have just tundra and some forests in it, another chain of islands inside the first chain, and finaly the meat a nice huge contenent connected by small 1 square wide by 3-5 squares long land briges conecting this island to the inner mountian chain. This land has all of the resouces, mountians, plains, fertile grassland, jungles, and some desert. Without some type of clame to this land you will never get luxury or natural resources.

The Pre-Story (to tell ya where were starting)
The year is 1745 AD anarchy has bestowed the greek civilization for what seams like 20 years. . The old Goverment of king Alexandrier's bloodline has perished and the new 1 party Democracy has formed. Greeks have never been all to good at keeping libraries of their past, shure the capital has the Great Library the greatest achivement of the anchent Greeks along with the colonization of most of the supercontenant, but the supercontenant has only recently been keeping records, the earlyest are just 100 years old, the oldest is just 320 years old. Whatever history there was ,was destroyed or lost during this time of crisise of the Greeks. The goverment burnt all the books of our past and now have the Great Library under military controle. They have something to hide from the common man but it isnt a major consearn for most fokes who are liveing in the present, not the past or future.
Constant wars are common for the Greeks, the only time when they were not in a war was in the latter half of the Anarchy period lasting for only 10 years. This is 1 part of the Greek history people know because it hard to hide the scars of war. The country is going under a period of modernization, The eastern half of the contenent is now building factories, coal plants, colusiums, cathedrals, and alot of other stuff, at the same time it is pumping out the defence of the contenent and the home island, riflemen. The western part of the contenent is suffering from the effects of recent conquest and corruption, it is trying to modernize a bit and add some culture by building temples and libraries, the goveners are trying to limit corruption too by hurrying the production of corthouses and are trying to increase the population by commisioning modern day aqueducts. The Home island is trying to modernize too, it has ben for a long time its the center of the nation with its many wonders but is slowing down in importance and wealth compared to the booming east.
A recent war has created the opertunity yet again for the army of crusaders to espand the Greek way of life to German and Carthenian islands in the north, They cannot toch the home island because their heavely defended but a lesser island has no mach of withstanding a seige for no more than 2 years before it falls. This army is obsolite but is faceing inferier and techlogicly chalanged civilizations which have no iorn or saltpeter. This army is also the only army and its commander has a major impact on the goverments decisions.
There is also a uneasy alliance with the Chinese aganced the wiked Carthenians and Germans, even though there is no writen evidence of a past war with china some Greek citys on the farmost eastern parts of the country have some Chinese blood in them when there are no new imergrants from China, Also there is a fealing of distrust in the goverment who is fuleing propaganda that is anti-Chinese but has even more Anti-Carthenian and German propoganda as well.
Our story starts of following Old Charley from the Greek city of troy and his family's experiance under the rule of the Demorcradic dictatorship of the crusaiders.
