I've bought Civilization IV: Gold Edition recently. I went through the standard installaion process and no problems there, but it hasn't installed Warlords (I know this because there is no Carthage, etc.) and there is no seperate disk for it or anything like that. I also can't uninstall Civ. I'm wondering if it's something I did or maybe I should call the support line.

Did you actually look for Warlords or just start civ? Warlords will have a separate launch .exe.

Yes, I've looked for a seperate launch exe. The only two I've found is Civilization4.exe and PitBoss.exe. Whatever PitBoss may be...

PitBoss is a multiplayer program, which IMHO doesn't work well.
Anyway, did you see a folder inside the Civ4 folder called "Warlords"?

No. I saw: Assets, CvGameCoreDLL, Miles, Mods, PublicMaps, Resource, Shaders, _Civ4CustomAssets, _Civ4CustomMaps, _Civ4CustomMods, _Civ4Logs, _Civ4Patch, _Civ4Replays, _Civ4Saves, _Civ4Screenshots, and _Civ4TransferredMaps folders. Just in case that may help in any way :D

It installs warlords in a subdirectory under the main Civ4 directory. Look for the executable there, not in directory with the vanilla civ4.

I just told him to do that, and he didn't find it.

Reinstall. I've got the gold edition, and it definitely installs warlords under

c:\Program Files\2K games\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4 Gold\Warlords\Civ4Warlords.exe

Make sure to let the install program use all three CDs. There may be an option to check for installing Warlords in addition to vanilla civ, but I can't recall. Look for it in the installation screen, to make sure.

My directory goes like this...
C:\Program Files\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4
No 2k games, etc. I'm also unable to uninstall. I've tried using the methods to fix or go around this problem in other threads, but those only made matters worse. For example, now my movies aren't installed correctly.

Doesn't sound like you got the right CDs for the gold edition. Do you have 3 CDs?

Yes, I got 3 CDs along with the DVD.
