When entering a game there are no menus, no mini map, nothing. No hot keys bring this up. Nor can I bring up the options menu. I just installed the expansion pack and honestly haven't played in months. I had no issues then but the game is pretty much uplayable as is because I can't actually see anything. I also can't bring up any adviser menus. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalled and same issue. I'd imagine there is some file that doesn't get removed so any tips would be a big help.

I had a similar problem when downloading the new patch.

What worked for me was to uninstall each component one at a time starting at bts and going back wards. bts,wrlrds,civ iv.

Use add remove programs to remove them.

Once you have axed all the programs, defrag.

Then install civ iv first, then warlords, and then bts.

If you dont have warlords, just bts, then stop after loading civ iv and run in game update. Once it has finished installing civ iv patch, then install bts.

Lastly, if bts did not autoupdate then, run in game update again and verify that bts is version 313.

Now after all that is done run defrag again. I have found on my xp rig when I install games it frags it up pretty good.
