Hey, everybody,
Would somebody be willing to make ruins of all of the major improvements in the game? Simple retexturing would be fine, but I'd prefer something with different models too.
I want to make it so that when you pillage an improvement, it leaves behind a ruin instead of just a blank tile. That coupled with Scorched Earth would create a real feel for a war-torn countryside.

I have taken up this project, but I will not be making one ruined version of each improvement; I will instead make ruined roads, a ruined farm and a ruined structure. I have the roads done, and will finish the farm and structure tomorrow.
The problem with making ruined improvements is that if you need to be able to pillage everything so you can clear improvements out of the way for forest growth. So I've set the value of the improvements to "0" instead of making them unpillageable. In my limited testing, the AI hasn't pillaged the "valueless" roads. If the AI does in fact pillage them I will make the improvements unpillageable.

Update: Someone else has been using my computer almost all day for a project. I won't be able to finish the models until tomorrow.
I've also encountered a persistent problem when exporting .nif files from Blender. My initial model shows up fine in Nifskope, but doesn't show up in game. Blender 2.41 never gave me this problem, so it might be a 2.45 issue. This could potentially prevent me from finishing this at all.

I simply have not been able to get any custom made .nif files to show up in the game. This was never a problem for me in the past with Blender 2.41, though I only made a couple of resources and a wonder building. I'm getting frustrated and may end up altering and reskinning an existing model.
Here (http://forums.civfanatics.com/uploads/96781/wreckage.zip) is a zip of a very basic model I've been using if anyone wants to help me and take a look at it. It shows up fine in Nifskope, but doesn't appear in the game.

Looks nice. That's odd that one version of Blender would be giving you so much trouble. Unfortunately, I stopped modding graphics with Civ3, so I am completely unfamiliar with how it works for Civ4 and thus can offer no input.
