Ive done a search and couldnt find the answers.

#1 Question.
How do I make animals last longer in the game. I would like animals to spawn WITH barbarians throughout.

#2 Question.
Is there a way to make a promotion UPGRADE a unit and be the only way to get that unit.

Example. You start out with a warrior. To upgrade to Axeman you must have bronze working AND receive "axeman" promotion from xp. Doesnt cost any $$ to upgrade, just xp points.
