CivUnited since its beginning after the April Fools Joke has only gotten bigger and better. With the stunning unofficial expansion to BtS, World of Legends (http://forums.civunited.net/forum.php?c=13) and 4 other hosted mods (http://forums.civunited.net/forum.php?c=16)from the Civ 4 Religion mod to The Elder Scrolls, CivUnited is a great place for anyone, whever a mod maker, a mod playing to even someone who doesn't play civ!

All things Civilization (http://forums.civunited.net/viewforum.php?f=1)are discussed, and the rules are a bit less rigid. We aren't saying you should quit CFC, but that you should post at UC, too!

We currently have a very active Role Playing Civ game (http://forums.civunited.net/viewforum.php?f=7). (Contact Ice2k4 for more information.) There is also a strong OT section (http://forums.civunited.net/viewforum.php?f=22)and a political debate (http://forums.civunited.net/viewforum.php?f=60)forum for you to show off your rhetoric.

The site is now hosting several up-and-coming mods for Beyond the Sword, including World of Legends, an unofficial expansion. We have a large download section with 3 GB of space available to you (and up to 500 GB (YES ITS GONE UP!) total), and private forums for mods and other projects are available upon request. Umm, "Active AstroEmpires Guild"? SPQR in Delta is completely dead. The UFC in Alpha is completely dead. Where is the "active" part in that?

Well for me it is down. I have one thing to say. Besides that I've contributed just about 40% of all the modding stuff you so proudly boast, I say admins are very disloyal and I feel like I've been treated harshly. Members receive no protection against flame and spam. And when they send a PM asking for some protection, they receive no reply.

Actually, You, GO, and EQ came back almost at the same time which made BL post like 300% more, also TK and cyb became more active not long after.

Also take out the rpg part.

GO and EQ came back because of me, which caused a domino effect. :p

Tools > Clear Private Data > Make sure cookies and cache are selected.Then use the lost password tool in the log in and try then. (This is assuming you are using Firefox). If you still can't log in PM me.

Now, what I'm worried about now is the failure of the site to send an activation email, when I tried to make a new account with a different email address. This should be fixed pronto.

I believe they set it that way deliberately because of a so-called spam problem. :rolleyes:

No it was fixed. The sendmail on the CU server does appear to be broken however as blogs didn't work either.

CU is down for upgrade and maintenece.

CU is back up

After changing my email on CU, it says my username is now inactive, and it says I should've gotten an email.

Well, I haven't, but the message also said that I may have to wait for an admin to render it active again..

So yeah, help?

The the former and corrupt Ball Lightningist/ Tonyist Regime have abdicated their powers and responsibilities and abdandoned their people. I, by the grace of God have assumed the office of Imperial Über Kaiser of the United Civvers.

Really? I can get there fine, although I haven't been able to until recently, so maybe Tony did some maintenance.

ESB: CivUnited was a great place and a lot of fun, but it didn't really know what it was - a Civ site, a modding forum, just some sort of Off-Topic forum - and that was its downfall, probably. I still miss it, though, and Tony and BL did work hard on it. (A lot of the posts in OT were spam. You'd have liked it. :p)

Man, reading the link in Equuleus's überkaiser proclamation above is an eye-opener. I was a jerk to make that point about Nazi references the way I did... no wonder Gaius felt offended. Are he and Equuleus still around?

Which is a home of in-fighting and backstabbing on the verge of collapse or so I'm told. Some things never change.

And CU was down from sometime after the 9th of January to the 5th when I noticed and fixed it.

Just to let everyone know the hosting on CU expired. It's now well and truly gone.

I still chat with GO and DK alot, I was at a forum with DK, but haven't felt much in the discussion mood. It seemed to be going well, being actually mostly new people. I play different games with GO from time to time. In the end, A very rewarding experience I'd say.

Not dead no, but I'm not really interested in Civ anymore as much as I used to be, and without Civ or CU, there isn't much to draw me here for more than the occasional sign in. And of course, with the username change, a lot of people won't make the link even when I do post.

As for the OT stuff, I moved onto other forums, and also, I do a bit of blogging now (and of course, Twitter). Of course if anyone from the CU days wants my msn or anything, feel free to PM me. My MSN has changed since, just in case anyone has the old one and wonders why I don't log in.

I use AIM personally.
