I have CivIV Gold w\warlords and it works fine, just got Beyond the sword, installed it, tried to play, it loads and goes to the black screen where the Firaxis logo and music plays (well starts to play, it goes for about a second or two) then kicks back out to my desktop with the dreaded "problem occured.....must close....send error report......."

I have uninstalled both games, scan disk, defrag, reinstalled both games.
Civ IV Warlords works fine, BTS still has the same problem.

I was so excited to play and now I am at lose..........
Please, someone, give me some advice.

please click on show report and post the upper part of it (the one that includes modname and some version numbers)

but by changing a line value in one of the files as per another post, I corrected the problem. the intro movie no longer plays but the game runs fine. I wish I knew what the problem was and would love to post the error message, but I don't want to chance changing it back to get the error report again.
