How would I give an archer a skin that uses a sword but make it use a bow but use the sword after the first strikes instead of the usual daggers. I know how to do the stuff in XML but I don't know how to alter any of the graphics or animations. If you could help me directly or point me to specific tutorials I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you in advance.:)

Is what you are saying to have the archer use its regular bow, but then in melee instead of using its daggers, use swords? Just clarifying, because your first post is kind of confusing.:crazyeye: And do you have the art already extracted from the game?

Sorry for the confusing post:lol: Yes that is exactly what I want to do. Yes I have the art unpacked and I have blender.

You first need to download Sceneviewer, which is found in the 3ds max plugins (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=159481). Don't worry, you don't need 3ds max to use it! I highly suggest reading Rabbit White's tutorials on the sceneviewer. Once you have read these, and understand Sceneviewer, you should just be able to drag the sword node into the dagger node. If you still experience problems, then just post them here.
