Hi all:

This looks like an exciting mod. Here's my suggestion. If you guys can work out changes that affect the dll, others can help with the details.


Attack/Defense changes to combat
Armor/Weapon/Engine upgrades
Psi


Once those are in place, others can help with the tech tree, buildings, wonders, and adding units.

Well, workshop is the next big SDK change as it is (alpha version is ready), psi is ok to implement. But i think right now we don't have any solid plan about the changes in the combat system. Attack/Defense concept didn't really work well in original SMAC so AFAIK there is a consensus that there is no point to add it to a mod.

Personally, i'll prefer if we'll have a solid economy before the combat system.

Yeah, I think the combat system is a little secondary to some of the other problems with the mod, however it shouldn't be ignored. I think things are chugging along nicely anyhow.
