Maybe it is just me, or the map I played, but the computer was a warmongering imbecile!! I did not 2 turns IN THE ENTIRE GAME, without someone declaring war on me! I eventually won, since they would attack and weaken themselves so I would counter and take over a few cities. Then a WW erupted every 100 years where the entire world would declare war on the most powerful nation, and slowly reduce him to nothing.
Other question, why does the computer refuse to admit defeat and still value cities unreasonably when they stand no chance?

Good question... I was tweaking the game to make it a bit more fun for me, ie slowing down the tech advancement and getting ready for my next story here and the same thing happened. I was on a continent with 2 other civs and they both kept declaring war on me. I was able to defend myself due to the natural fotifications along our common boarders, the 2 AIs could never mount a serious assult through the mountains

This happened to me once. I made a scenario so is started on a pre-made very good island. Of course it isnt the best and the largest nation in the world, my best friend America, Declares war on me. My friends the Persians lived up to their MPP and declared war on America. Then every nation in the world declares war on me and Persia. I was minding my business building troops when an american transport landed on my island and unloaded:
2 swordsman, 1 archer and a spearman. My army was smaller than theirs, but i didnt expect those morons to declare war and use stone age troops on me. I demolish them using my 10 artillery stacked in my closest city (i became very powerful and had only 9 cities so i stacked 12 infantry and 10 artillery in every city) and killed them using leathal bombardment. Then 5 english battleships appear in front of the pass between Persia and me. I had just advanced into modern so i gave Persia the remaining techs 10 turns earlier. When the battleships got there last turn 2 of them were scamppering homw cause Persia used cruise missles from Transports and killed em. well, peace came, but not for long. 4 turns later america declared war on me. again it was a standstill. Peace; war; peace; war; peace; war, peace. Finally came the last war where i killed America off. i had just researcched the tech for icbms cause i was in my golden age and everything came at 1 turn(i tweaked that). I got ICBM's and called back all of my ships. I built 1 every turn in each city for 10 turns. I had 90 ICBM's and 200 nukes on 100 nuke subs(tweaked that too) all around the borders of America. Then i sent up word to send 60 ICBMs on the American cities. yes they had 60 exact. Man was that a long turn. I then launched 120 nukes from my subs, 2 on each city. I had 30 ICBMs left and 80 nukes so i launched those on Egypt, Germany, France, England, and Greece. Wa la. Every nation came and begged on hands and knees for peace. I said no and kick everyones little retarted butts. I win a Domination victory.
