I need a replacement player for Korea in this (http://www.civstats.com/viewgame.php?gameid=428) game. Be warned that your chances of winning are slim to nil.

I also need a replacement for America (in the same game), as the player for that civ has gone missing.

I'm interested.

Unconquered Sun has told me (via PM) that he is unable to connect, so I'm still looking for a replacement for America.

I should add that America is in a similarly bad spot to Korea, so only masochists need apply.

I'm interested in taking over the Americas. How hard is PitBoss to set up? I'm new to the multiplayer aspect and I see this as a great opportunity to get my feet wet. But, how many turns before America gets wiped?

Playing pitboss is essentially the same as playing a regular direct IP multiplayer game. I'll PM you the address and you can try it out, not sure how long before they get wiped out since I'm no longer in the game.

Talk to Unconquered Sun when you get in, you'll probably need to collaborate with him for defense.

The civ is one turn from elimination.. taking it over now would be very suiciderish. That is until i login not an actual turn.

ok, well it might be worth doing as a 'pitboss test', but not for actually having a game.

If you guys can hold off on killing America for a turn, I'll test the connection tonight with PitBoss. Once eliminated, can I still watch what's going on in the game?

There won't be anything going on at all after you are eliminated. I had some bad dice rolls so america lives for another turn.

Apparently I need a save file in order to join?

??? You shouldn't need any save file... just the latest version of Warlords. If you're getting an error message or something, take a screenshot and post it here.

I don't have Warlords, but have BtS. I tried the BTS specific pitboss application in the BtS directory and worked my way through the menus. After I select Direct IP, I can select new game, new scenario or load game. When I select load game, it asks for a save file.

Ahh that's the problem, you don't run the pitboss application (that's only for the host), you just run the game itself and go to multiplayer, then direct ip.

By the way, I don't know if you'll be able to play if you have BTS instead of Warlords, as I haven't tried it myself.

says my critical files don't match critical files of the host. I thought BtS had everything Warlords had, plus some.

You still can't play warlords games with bts.
