When two cities will both pop a gp on the same turn, what determines which one happens first? Does it matter which one has more total gp points on the last turn? what if that number is the same?

I am tabbed out of a game right now where i am going for the mc slingshot to produce a GE to rush mids. Going well so far (even had marble for the oracle) and I am Pericles so I get the philosophical bonus. Only problem is, I took a turn longer than I planned to get the forge up in city number two and now it will pop the GE on the same turn that my capital will pop a GP. I can't turn off the capital's GP points and if that one pops first I'm screwed. I never thought I would be praying for a slave revolt in Athens....

Anybody been in this situation?

I am pretty sure your capital will pop first.

The cities are updated in the order you aquired them for you empire (The same order you get if multiple build finish on same turn - capital is usually the first.)

Sorry

You could perhaps rush a library in the other city and run a Scientist for a turn o two juts enought to take over - minimal pollution...

good idea. i hadn't thought of that. it might not have worked though as i was running one farm and an engineer. i had to whip down to pop 2 just to get the forge as fast as i did and it was still a turn too late. I will keep that one in mind though.

funny thing is the GP popped in my capital like you said but i was able to get an engineer out of it only a few turns later. it was terrible odds i just got lucky running an engineer and a priest from temple of artemis. something like 11% odds.
