I have purchased the D2D version of Civ 4, downloaded it (it's the latest version).

I installed in on a WinXP SP2 machine with a 7900 GT card, all drivers updated and when I launch the game, it hangs on Init File Catalog. I have searched the forum and found a few references to this but no one ever replies with a fix.

Any help would be much appreciated. I tried to call the Civ4 tech support and they told me it was a D2D problem with a bad download. I downloaded it a second time, same problem.

My other questions is this. Will store bought BtS and Warlords work with a D2D version of Civ 4?

1) D2D has a pretty decent tech support -try contacting them
2) people here had lots of some times unsolvable problems installing a cd/dvd version of an expansion on a machine that has the download version of the core game - the other way, i.e. cd/dvd core game and digital version of the expansions seems to work fine...
