Hello!

First time posting here, i jsut bought the gold version a few days ago and wanted to update to the latest patch.

When i try the civ4patch1.74_Final.exe it says:

Sid Meier's Civilization 4 - InstallShield Wizard

THe setup has detected that no version of Sid Meier's Civilization 4 is installed.

THis update requires that a previous version of the application be isntalled.

the game is registered in the control panel and it is the CD version and not some digital download.

any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Civ4 Gold edition is patched to date, i.e. it has both the 1.74 patch for Civ4 and the 2.13 patch for Warlords already installed. IF a new patch for those games comes out (which is unlikely) there would probably have to be a separate version for Gold Edition - but at this time there is no need to patch :)
