I hate when I make typos... especially in my splashes!

FYI, I corrected the mistake and also updated the zip file in the downloads section.

Excellent :goodjob:
Super Fast Interceptor/Fighter at MACH 2+ (Twice the speed of sound).
The English Electric Lightning was the first supersonic British fighter. Although designed and built to intercept Soviet Bombers and the general public told at heights of up to 16,000 feet on documents, the true maximum Ceiling heights were kept secret...The Lightning has gained heights of up to 88,000 feet.
The Royal Air Force used it in Germany. The Lightning Used the unusual design of two Rolls Royce Turbojet Engines that were mounted one on top of the other within the fuselage for greater thrust and this restricted room for fuel. The 900 mile range was perhaps the biggest handicap.
The Lightning was armed with two Air to Air Guided Missiles (the Fairey Firestreak missile and later replaced by the Hawker Siddeley Red Top missile) and two 30 mm Cannons.
Another version of The English Electric Lightning was later developed for ground attack and sold to Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.

Man, the English do make beautiful aircraft. The Avro Vulcan and Blackburn Buccanear are amongst some of favorites as well.

Just great Top Gun, and yes the Blackburn Buccaneer is just a great looking attack aircraft.
Did Wyrmshadow or you TopGun ever create the the Avro Vulcan. I believed so but canīt find it.

However itīs still on the drawing board for Civ III I believe, and hope.

So many sexy jets from the 50īs and 60īs from the British islands....

As civinator said, THANK YOU VERY MUCH! It comes in a great moment for me, cause I was "remodding" the English and I realize I need an early jet fighter for Cold War period

I like this unit. Interesting.

Is that a fuel tank of some sort on top of the wing?

How is it that I've never heard of this plane before? At any rate, this is an awesome unit! Great job TopGun & Fire Fox!

Yes, it is a peculiar British design, with the fuel tanks on top of the wings.

Hopefully not a drop tank. If it would have been possible, that'd be a good way to carry extra munitions (obviously rockets and/or missiles).
