Sleep vs. Super Bowl is more like it, got in from a friend's birthday party at 5am. Just got up from a very nice nap, and now I'm about to enjoy some Civ :D

I hear the super bowl in the other room, I'm not playing civ but I'm typing up this reply so I guess I am doing something relating to it.

Blast you all, now I want to play civ. :assimilate:

Despite being born and raised in the states, I prefer Football (aka Soccer) to American Football, but watch both. I have half a dozen matches on my DVR now to watch this week from the EPL and Italian A leagues.

I am watching the Super Bowl though, as I play/read boards, a laptop with my homemade swinging stand FTW!

Oh and Go Arsenal! (much better than seeing Man U or Chelsea on top, heh)

Touchdown New England, now NE 14 v. NY 10
It'll take a miracle now...

Soccer is my favorite sport to play, but not to watch. I mean, 90 minutes of play just to score one or two goals in the entire game? lol
Hey, this could be a "Colliseum" event :p

So tell me, what is the Super Bowl ? An enormous dish ? A contest between spin and fast bowlers ? Is it played on a crown green, or perhaps on one deeply hollowed in the centre ?

The term "bowl" originated from the Rose Bowl Stadium, site of the first post-season college football games. :p (Wikipedia lol)

Glorious NY, destroyers of the unbeaten. That was quite a game.
Reminds me of the napoleon line something like- rather have a lucky general than a good general.

Here in Australia the game kicks off (if thats what term you use) around 11 am monday

Long standing tradition in our house to take the day off and watch........won $1000 on the pats when they upset the Rams a few years ago

I`m a huge fan of a game called rugby league ( It`s NOT that boring game called rugby union or simply "rugby")...both sports have alot in common and I encourage any Americans out there to give it a look...lots of league fans love NFL

You even have your own competition....try www.AMNRL.com
