What does it mean when I see a tech listed against a leader's name in the list in the bottom right hand corner of the screen ?
Eg. Against Kublai Khan's name in my current game I see the spy symbol, followed by 'Alphabet' then '(3)'.
The number seems to represent no. of turns as it drops by one each round.

I have Alphabet myself so does it mean Kublai Khan can use Espionage to steal Alphabet from me or something ?
And what's with the (3) ?

No, that means thanks to passive espionage, you can see what he's currently researching (the Alphabet, obviously). The "3" is the number of turns until he finishes researching it.

That means, that the dude is currently teching this, and will be done in the given number of turns (if maintaining current speed.)

You will see this info, if you have put enought :espionage:-points towards that civ.
