I apologize beforehand if this is the wrong place to post this.

There's a few things I've been wanting to do to enhance my personal experience in BTS, but I lack the patience to screw around with XML and all that crap. Why they didnt package an easy to use scenario/map editor with Civ4 like they did with Civ3 makes absolutely no sense to me...but hey i'm not here to gripe about crappy corporate marketing strategies. Anyway this is what I want to do...if you can direct me where to look or give me simple instructions(I don't have a degree in computer programming...so please tell me in Layman's terms) on how to do it I would be grateful.

1. A standard size Europe map for the new BTS civs, or a means by which I can place resources, start locations, etc. on a blank map. There are plenty of good maps available out there, but most already have predefined start locations, and I'm not sure how to move them around, or get the grid coordinates for the locations i want.

2. One building...a pagan temple to help keep your citizens happy if you dont beat your opponents to acquiring a religion early on. Dont really need a monastery or missionaries or any of that. Besides, it defintely seems to be something that would make historical sense, wouldnt it?

3. Creating custom religions...I can't believe it can be that complicated, but from what I've tried to deduce from these forums it sure seems like a real pain in the ass. Specifically protestantism, atheism, and scientology(just kidding...but a super powerful Psyclo unit would be pretty cool)

Thanks alot, I appreciate any help you can give.
