I thought I had an idea of how it worked, but since I still can't get the graphics to change I must be missing something.

I am playing the Fall from Heaven mod and would like to swap around some unit graphics.

As I can see it, there are several places for the graphics though I still can't account for all the units. I would like someone to see if I understand what is happening.

First, you have the vanilla game graphics in the assets\art\units folder and in several fpk files in the assets folder.

Then you have the beyond the sword directory there are no fpk files in the assets folder but there are many in the assets\art\units folder. Oddly though, there is a beyond the sword folder created in my documents\my games that has lots of fpk files that contain unit graphics and even some in a customassets\art\units subfolder

Then you have the FFH2 mod folder which also has graphics in an fpk file and the assets\art\unit folder

My question is, can I rename the graphics that I want to use to the same name as an existing unit folder and have the swap take place? If so, where do I do that at? Do I need to mess with the XML files? I'm just not sure what needs to happen.

I would have thought this was a common question with a straightforward answer but it turns out most people have no idea how to do this simple thing.

What is the point of having unit graphics mods if no one knows where to put them?

You might just have had better luck, posting this in the Creation&Customization section - where it belongs. Not to mention, that there are also at least 3 tutorials on that subject, right on the front page of the Tutorial section.
