Apparently, M$ is releasing toys based on its products, meant for 3-12 y/o audience. Now this begs the question, what kid would want to have these

Id give a summary, but you have to see it to believe it.

After clicking the link, my impression is that this is more a tongue-in-cheek joke than an actual product line for kids.
A giveaway would be the fact that this is accessed through MSDN, Microsoft Developer Network, hardly a kid site.

Well, I was going to put it into the Weird Science news, but didnt really work for that. I wouldn't put it past M$ to be serious about this.

LOL, in my experience Bill does have a sense of humour (saw him once at a conference, he was pretty funny). Still king of the nerds!

Yeah, I noticed that your clever use of a $ in reference to Microsoft indicated a certain level of discontent towards that firm.
Why would it be a bad thing if Microsoft sold action figures based on developers? I'd rather have my kids play with that than with a Barbie girl or GI Joe.

I dunno, they just look so shoddily made. It could be the images, or it could be my preconceptions ( hah! if these things had to get a patch to actually work). Had I a kid, I would get him/her one of these just to laugh when he's running around with it.

Those toys don't appeal to me. I prefer the OS-tans over these junky toys.
