I have just been given the best random event ever after the apperances in my armo of the radioactive monkey that got merged togheter with Chuck Norris. I got to choose between two smileys in every city or march promotion to EVERY gunpowder unit. I am playing on normal speed, so gunpowder units will stay for a while. I am having small trouble with unhappines atm, but my cities won't be happy if I for example defy a resolution of that holy palace stuff, then I will suffer off unhappyness. But March to every gunpowder unit is quite insane too! What shall I choose?
Two :) in every city for ever or march (heal while moving) to every gunpowder unit?

Two happiness. You can deal with healing easily enough by giving a few units the Medic promotion. Also, I usually heal injured units in a captured town, moving ahead with the full-strength ones and having the convalescents catch up later. It helps protect the town while they heal, and the AI is less likely to full-on bounce them than if they are on the march.
You may not be having happiness problems now, but down the road as your cities get bigger you will. Can't hurt.
If it were some more useful promotion, like City Raider or Drill or Pinch, I'd say go with that.

Hammurable, I agree. March isn't that fantastic. And with one or two units with Medic II i get the medic I need. Two happines is fine for me...

How much of your eventual planned expansion have you done? AFAIK, the happiness doesn't apply to cities you found later or capture, whereas that March will be with you forever. If you're small, I'd take march, but if you're bigger, I'd go for the happiness.
