I think Terra has the best RP options out of the choices, although I do understand the desire for random :)

I like Fractal, personally. Terra seems like it might have the best RP options, but in the end it's just land-grabbing, just like if there were an empty island on a Fractal map.

I can surrender Random for Terra, as Terra is my runner up.

Big and Small

Continents for me. Has naval action and multiple land masses but doesn't have the crunched up land of Terra.

Terra can really limit our nationsize, but does promote aggressive expansion.
Continents seems a safe choice, usualy fun.
Fractal is unpredictable, yet really fun if certain kind of maps spawn.
I still chose random, though. Unpredictability at its height. :)

Fractal - An unpredictable map type

Shuffle - Pangaea, Continents, Archipelageo, or Fractal map

Shuffle would be good, but we may risk Pangea. Terra and Big and Small are better candidates.

Terra, it has a more earthly feel.

I'm going to go with Terra here, if we're going with the faction based rule set.

I would like to change my vote from "Random" to "Terra", after all, the entire franchise is based on this earth, in terms of techs, eras etc, so for getting the right age of discovery feel, I would go for Terra.
