Am quite suprised, as you can see Charlemagne has used his holy roman super powers to make his boat fly into my capital. I have not used WB, and of course as there is only one spot of sea there is impossible for anyone to create a city next to the water.

See for yourself.

WTF :S

The save game is uploaded as well if anyone wants to check it out.

Anyone got a clue? I will just end up scratching off my hair if I start wondering how it came there.

There is only one thing I can think of.

Is it possible that he had that ship in a city that it got kicked out of? You know, like a city with open borders and then the open borders deal was closed? Did you see him suddenly go to war? or break an agreement?

What I'm thinking is the boat was at port somewhere, got kicked out, and for some reason got kicked out to a "coastal" city of yours. That's the only thing i can think of...

I have to agree with SJN. Char. was probably sending his galleon somewhere, and there was a culture pop at a city that Char. didn't have open borders with. When the computer calculated the neareast coastal city, your city was the closest.

Then again, maybe it's the lost ark from the great flood?!

Logically your last sentence is the heaviest. However I cant see a health bonus from every animal in the world in my cities, so maybe it isn't the lost ark anyway. I am going to fund a search after Noah, perhaps he still is walking around somewhere in my civ. If anyone have anything they would like to be said to god or Noah or maybe even the little jesuschild, you can do it trough me.

Make sure you hire him as a great prophet and build a holy shrine.

You're working a plains forest instead of a plains windmill.

Oh boy here comes the optimal tile police

I don't suppose you built a chain of forts to allow the Galleon to enter Yasodharapura did you?

Well, in this case it's actually a fairly significant difference. He's running both the culture slider and building culture, both of which would be increased by using the windmill. While one or two turns won't mean much, if left like that for many turns, it'll add up.

They eat a lot of fish in Seattle, which is brain food, so give LordKestrel a break, guys.

Well, about the tile. I builded one of thoose forest improver, cant remember the name of them right now, you can clearly see two settlers east to the city, I was just waiting for them to get to the spot and then build the improvement. It was just for a couple of turns, I didn't see the "incident" and it didn't matter much.

As for the flying boat - i have had this bug happen to me, too - and in a situation where there was no way the boat should have catapulted into the city instead of into a regular neutral sea tile.
