So I was reading stuff about the Khmer empire: how it fought the Champa, how Suryavarman II actually built Angkor Wat to be dedicated to the HINDU deity Vishnu, and how there was switching between Hinduism and Buddhism (2 different types of Buddhism actually) back and forth between the years 900 and 1400 when the empire flourished.

Can we make the 3rd criteria for Khmer as 35% Buddhism AND Hinduism (since the rate limiting factor is often the 3-limit for existing missionaries, so if you have Hinduism also it will be 6). Those galleons can certainly carry more missionaries.

is 30% for buddhism too easy?

That'll be as hard (if not harder since Hinduism is not at all in China). I think the 2 together but more world population (e.g. 35 to 40%) is more enjoyable than the current situation, unless more missionaries can be built at the same time.
