"Communications with Earth have gone silent. Scheduled cargo ships have not arrived as expected, nor have any sent in the last two months returned. At this point we have no answers. We can only assume that something serious has occurred on Earth. It is up to you, commander, to determine how we should proceed." - Colonial Congress Briefing Report, January 8th, 2302 AD.

But with communications with Earth gone, the once stable alliance that ruled the 'verse has fallen apart, breeding new independent clans. But even they aren't safe from falling into civil-wars themselves!!!
Adding the RFC concept to Final Forntier your new space empire is no longer safe from internal conflict, and new nations breeding from systems thought to be emtpy. Now, will you be able to led your people through internal conflicts, rising empires and intergalatic plagues that could wipe out whole worlds? Take heed, commander, and brace yourself for the Rhye and Fall of the Final Frontier.
Also, find out what really happend to Earth in a brand new scenario that reveals the truth about Earth. (Unless, it does tell you(I mean, really tell you) in the mod already, I never got that far, sooo slow)

Features:
RFC into the Final Frontier.
No less then ten new federations to rise in the Final Frontier.
Larger Map for greater battles.
New scenario story that tells you what went down on earth.
New units, buildings and Techs to make the Final Frontier the greatest one yet.
And random events to rock your world. Such as suns going super nova or a space rock coming to wipe out life on one of your worlds.
No Frontier has ever been so deadly or had so much at stake. The weight of the 'verse is on your shoulders.

...
So, what do you think? Great idea? And before you say it, no, I won't be making this mod. But I was thinking maybe someone else can/will, it would be cool. Just don't know how easy.

hmmmm.....

indeed..

But no, I have my hands full right now, perhaps once RFC Epic is in a 'final build' phase. However that will likely never happen.

On the plus side, if someone wants to do the XML/Python/Map/everything but Dll work, there should be fairly few modifications needed in the dll, pretty much just settlers maps and start turn, I think. Also custom difficulty settings, but those are relatively simple and I might be able to help then. But I cannot tackle the entire mod myself. Sorry :( (I would really love to see this...)

Oh well, it can not be helped.:(
But is there not one who may create the Rhye's and Fall of the Final Frontier? I mean, the name alone sounds cool. :goodjob:

I can do basic python and XML, but I'm sure this will be much, much more complex.

Sounds like a pretty good idea, but when I first saw the thread title I remembered of a different (FF- and RFC-inspired) idea I had a while ago. Basically, you start as the People's Democracy of Earth, and initially focus on peaceful research and colonisation, but after a while your state will grow unstable due to sheer overstretchment and/or stagnation, and the most faraway territories will begin to break away, RFC-style, with the possibility to switching to those break-aways or trying to fight on as PDE to retain your dominance and crush the rebel scum. Ofcourse, the rebel scum will not be impervious to splintering as well. I suppose that the early game might be made more interesting by the addition of something like space pirates or even aliens, but that might derail it a bit too much.

A distinct difference from RFC is that factions here are not national or geographic, but rather ideological. So perhaps the rise of one or another civilisation in one or another star system will depend on "religion" and/or the economic situation (i.e. a star system with particularly high production will likely get the Forge, while a commercial hub will have high chances of getting the Red Syndicate).

Just an idea; maybe someone else will want to pick it up. Anyway, good luck.

Well while you are talking about Final Frontier for Rhye's mod I figured I would throw this out there.

I was wondering if anyone knew a way of doing this.

1. Click a button over a spot during a game to export a worldbuilder save

2. Counting the units on a spot on the map.

3. Adding these units to another worldbuilder save.

4. Loading the new worldbuilder save.

For example you have a unit on top of a solar system. And when you are on top of a solar system you get a new button planet map. When you would click this it would bring up a planet map with all of the units that were on top of this solar system.

I know it is probably just nonsense and impossible to do, but I wanted to just throw it out there to see if anyone had any ideas on how to do it.

Not dead, just in limbo, waiting for someone to let it free..... Like a modder.
