Pir Lan Tota Feb 26, 2008, 07:49 AM Usually they are just barbarians......sometimes, they are bloody holy barbarians

PibbZ Feb 26, 2008, 07:59 AM Hahah, incoming holy war :)
CommanderZ Feb 26, 2008, 08:20 AM Hmm, holy city for free. Nice :)
kernok Feb 26, 2008, 08:42 AM how is it possible that christianity, judaism, islam and hinduism religions have been founded whereas buddhism, taoism and confucianism have not been founded?
i mean aren't the two first religion in each game buddhism and hinduism?
how did you manage to discover "late" religion without having anyone discover "early" ones?
???

The Choose Religion option allows you (and the AI) to choose the religion you found.

I don't see your point. The Indians discovered Buddhism early and then lost their capital to barbarians.

Spot on mate, indeed got that option enabled
r_rolo1 Feb 26, 2008, 09:14 AM I bet that was ghandi that founded Hinduism in Delhi.....
Pharmtekbobby Feb 26, 2008, 09:28 AM ....and I bet that it was Ghandi's great military prowess that lost Dehli to the barbarians! He was probably building a monastary as he usually does when I move a chariot to his lands and I yell aloud "Duh-na na" (music from Lord of the Rings Battale at Amon Hen), and then we rape the fields and pillage the women!
Quotey Feb 26, 2008, 10:52 AM Oh I so hope the Barbs culture flip Warwick!
I once had a game where Sitting Bull was isolated, he lost his capital to the barb event and they set up and entire civ with towns! I landed a scouting party and they got slaughtered. Cripes.
Interestingly enough, the barbs can do whatever they want. In TheGrimm's Epic Seven (http://realmsbeyond.net/forums/showthread.php?t=1370) report, they built Stonehenge.

that makes sense!
:goodjob:
magicalsushi Feb 27, 2008, 04:52 AM For what it's worth, the barbarians will eventually found a religion themselves if the proper civs are very slow to research the prerequisite tech.
Please don't ask me how I found this out...
sirsnuggles Feb 27, 2008, 06:06 AM That is just too funny. So, would barbs utilize missionaries then!
And would they behave the way Charlemagne did to the Jutes: convert or we'll drown you
