:mischief: How would I go about giving myself quests either during a game (like via worldbuilder), or raise the possiblity of getting certain quests to 100% (in an xml file)? :mischief:

Thanks

I think you can't.

Civ4EventTriggerInfos.xml contains the probabilities of certain events. But there is nothing at all, to make sure, that the event actually trigers for you, and not for say Monthy...

a slightly similar question: is there some way or some civ trait that gets certain quests more frequently? in other words, if I want the colleseum quest (the NFL??), how would I go about that? It appeared to me once that if I got metal casting real early, then the blacksmith thing would appear. Is that correct or am I seeing things?

There are a small couple of evenst/quests that are civ specific. Others are tied to certain Techs, Religions or occurances in your empire.

The best you can do, is to make sure, your civ does meet the prereqs/conditions to trigger the quest. From there the rest is luck.

You can look up in the thread below, what the prerequs/triggers are.

If you raise the possibility of you getting a certain quest to 100%, you also raise it for the AIs FYI.

<bPickPlayer>0</bPickPlayer> Does this mean it only picks players for the event? Or events in which you "pick a player for result"?
<bSinglePlayer>0</bSinglePlayer> Only in single player?

<iPercentGamesActive>100</iPercentGamesActive>
This makes it 100% "in the lottery" right?

<bGlobal>0</bGlobal>
This makes it a "one player/npc" only quest/event?
