I've got a few Ideas for mods that I wanna make, but I run into some problems:

1) Removing ALL religion and/or tech References...
2) Events, I'm used to Warlords and I'm trying to learn how to work the new events...
3) Misc. things, my extent is a decent (I think) size of XML.

Basicly I'm looking for some help from Experienced modders if they could help with advice, explenations, maybe Units or LH. I'm trying to contribute my 2 cents to the modding Comunity. maybe make a Worth-while Scenario.

Instead of removing all religions, it would be easier to just keep them from being founded. In CIV4ReligionInfo.xml just change the founding techs to be "future tech", or better yet, create a new tech that cannot be researched and use that.

But I want it to like, be a mod, that way I can use my own Religions.

O.O There's Tutorials?
also, quick question that's sorta off-topic. But I'm having problems with the new patch, I install it and it still says I need it. So I may not be able to release any mods

your speaking of the BtS patch? 3.13 I hope. If your having problems with that, perhaps your should uninstall and then re-install. Remember to NEVER mess with your original files, if your mess them up, it usually results in having to uninstall/reinstall everything again. Always copy the files you want to edit, and place them in your mod or in custom assets.

If you have warlords, installing bts will update warlords automatically as well. I had to go back and manually unistall, reinstall, then go back to warlords 2.08 since I prefer it, and the mods made for it over the most recent warlords patch.

Also if anyone wasn't aware of this, on Warlords 2.08 you can play mods without even having the cd. Fireaxis obviously realized the mistake they made, because the new patch fixed this.

it's 3.13, I've tried several times to uninstall reinstall, even going as far as uninstalling and reinstalling Vanilla.

I'm sorry for a double post, but anyone know how to fix this patch issue?
