Victoria Revolutions with the Southern Revolutions Mod
Very Easy and Coward (I need some way to survive eh?)

President Captain looked down at the map on his table depicting the state of the troops of the newly formed Confederacy

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/CSAstart.jpg

"well shoot General.... I can't make heads or tails of all of this, I'm the politician" The President said to General Robert E. Lee who he had assigned to be his situation advisor.

"well sir, we're heavily outnumbered in terms of troops and equipment and our main advantage is knowing the land we plan to fight on" Lee said while scratching his beard.

"well General, they can have twice as many troops as we do, our boys are defending their homes while those Federals don't have to worry about us stomping through their back yards" The President remarked with a grin.

"are you saying you don't expect us to get into the north?" Lee said, taken back by what he thought was a flash of defeatism from the President.

"Naw, I fully expect us to have a shot at marching into the north, however if that opportunity arises I expect we'd sign peace instead" The President stated, he began to turn around but then had a thought and turned back to the General.

"The difference between ourselves and the Yankees, we just want to be left alone"

Battle of Manassas

http://www.gmu.edu/library/specialcollections/manassas2.gif

"sir! 3 more Yankee Infantry arriving on the battlefield! sir!" reported the scout to General N. Kiddus, who normally wouldn't tolerate yelling inside his command tent but he felt it necessary right now to be heard over the roar of the enemy cannons

General Thomas Jackson, who had been assigned to the same area as both General Scamp and General Kiddus decided to pipe up

"they out number us again... just as we take out one division they send another two back at us" he said lifting tent flap and looking through a pair of binoculars at the battlefield

"hell... we're still stronger, 7 of our divisions is worth 9 or so of the federals" said General Kiddus while looking at a map of the terrain, he noticed from the corner of his eye the scout leaving the tent

"well if we let those new Yankee divisions meet up with the group we've had pinned down all morning they may be able to turn the tide.... and I am not going to allow that to happen" General Scamp said with his hand on his sword

almost as if to punctuate his statement a cannonball could be heard hitting the ground outside, judging by the shadow on the wall of the tent it continued to roll and then a yell was let out by the scout who had just stepped out

"alright, thats it... I'm going to go take care of those Yankee cannons!" General Scamp yelled back to the Generals, pulling his sword and running out of the tent

General Jackson pulled out his pocketwatch and handed a Confederate 5 note to Kiddus

"if he waited five more minutes I would have won that bet" Jackson mumbled

Captain2
Mar 10, 2008, 04:15 PM
well actually I tried 7 times last night, all of which ended in defeat, followed by 2 today which ended in defeat, the Union doesn't have the same "fighting with one hand tied behind its back" mentality, I'm fighting the whole US and that means 10 Confederate Divisions vs. 30 Union, it eventually takes its toll

the main downfall to this is Lincoln doesn't have to worry about losing an election and the following president signing peace, in this game the war will last as long as Washington isn't in Confederate hands or the south isn't annexed

the vote is basically whether we want a more historical game (CSA will fall by 1863 at the latest) or going off the rails of history

nodikus

germanicus12

Even though I am sure Washington is heavily defended, why not mass as many troops as you can muster and attack Washington? Surely if that city falls Lincoln will sue for peace....

Likewise we will probably need to defend Richmond but I am sure losing that wont be as bad as losing Washington. Can always move to Atlanta and keep Sherman away or move to Austin Texas and force them to fight in the desert.

I tried this once awhile ago, if I remember correctly, I managed to take New York City by landing an army nearby (how I passed their blockade is beyond me). But the Army of Northern Virginia lost at Manassas and was forced to retreat. But with New York firmly in my hands, Lincoln was ready to negotiate almost anything, becuase with New York gone, he lost almost half of his standing army to rebel forces through desertion.

I ended up getting California, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico and all southern states were freed. It stayed that way until World War II where I joined the Germans, and the US joined the Allies, this time I was crushed and forced to admit defeat and rejoin the Union.

Perhaps you should try that?

Captain2
Mar 10, 2008, 07:22 PM
I've taken Washington, then all of Virginia falls to the Union, and then since Lee is surrounded they just attack him with their 30 Infantry divisions and crush him and all but 3 Divisions of the Confederate army

as I've said, its up to a vote whether I do a more historical losing campaign or win without much in the way of honour but have something to make a story out of

The Battle of Bowling Green

Thanks to the efforts of Generals Kiddus, Scamp, Lee and Jackson the Confederate army had been able to hold at Manassas and face off against a weakened Union army in Washington.

General Germaniski had recommended a plan to invade New York, hopefully weakening the morale of the Union army and President Captain agreed with this plan in hopes of giving the CSA Navy something to do, however once it became clear that the Confederacy would be unable to secure the resources necessary for the plan it was scrapped.

General Scamp was reassigned to Bowling Green where his goal was to force the Federal army into a second front and back the invasion currently being planned by General Pugwash, when first being informed he would only be able to command 1 of the 2 Divisions he was quite displeased, however after a visit from the President himself he was convinced that although a secondary front it was necessary to lure the Yankee forces away from Washington.

In three different battles the forces under General Pugwash and General Scamp beat over 4 Union divisions, first defeating them in a 2 Vs. 2 battle and then two battles against 1 enemy division.

Pugwash had just set up his tent when he was alerted by a scout that 5 Union divisions had been ordered to engage the Confederate force of Bowling Green, General Prince held his breath and waited for the outcome.

Battle of Washington

6 Infantry Divisions under the combined command of General Kiddus and General Artagnan met up with the 1 Cavalry division under the command of and General Germaniski, they then crossed the border and into Washington.

The Union had set up a small defence but they were outnumbered after their losses at Manassas, In usual Confederate style the enemy was quickly sent running with their tail between their legs, the White House was surrendered without a shot fired in hopes of saving it from being set aflame by the victorious Southerners, shortly afterwards it was visited by the President of the Confederacy

Captain ,The President of the Confederate States of America sat in the oval office with General Kiddus and a small group of Confederate soldiers that had been responsible for the capture, the President wore what would be later be written as "a serious, dreamy expression" on his face however inside he felt nothing but overwhelmed with the situation

"we've finally done it General" he finally said to Kiddus, the situation beginning to sink in

"the best the Yankees can decide now is that no-one has won the war, defeat is totally off the table" the President added while smiling from ear-to-ear.

"how so Mr. President?" General Kiddus asked, knowing the answer but he knew Captain preferred to finish his own thoughts.

"well General, the last time a foreign army was near this building was in 1812, that was later deemed a tie and I'll be dammed if the Confederacy will come out worse than a bunch of Canadians" The President stated while looking down at the desk in front of him

"do you think it could use another burning?" one of the soldiers whispered to the man beside him, however it was loud enough that the President could hear.

"Son, we come from a civilized nation, we do not go into places and burn them simply to spite our enemies" the President said to the embarrassed Soldier

"while we're out burning Federal cities why don't we just tear up the Yankee railroad tracks and melt it?" The President said mockingly "we need to give these people something to live for after this war besides revenge"

A group of Confederate soldiers appeared in the doorway to the oval office and asked for permission to bring in a prisoner.

General Kiddus raised his eyebrow and asked "Hell boys, can't you see the President is here? why do ya need to bring in some filthy Yankee?". The troops looked at each other and then the commanding officer nodded.

The prisoner was brought from the shadowy corridors and pushed into the Oval Office in front of the President, General and troops, eliciting a large gasp from the troops and was enough of a shock for Captain to jump out of the chair he was in and stand staring wide eyed and open mouthed at the POW presented to him

President Captain looked across the desk of the Oval office at the newly captured Abe Lincoln, after several minutes of uncomfortable silence Captain made the first comment

"well well well, President Lincoln in the flesh.... I must admit that I'm impressed, few people would stay in enemy occupied territory"

"well not all of us are willing to run and hide from a bunch of rebels" Lincoln said, looking rather worn and tired

"what am I thinking..." President Captain said motioning at a chair on the opposite side of the desk "have a seat, I hope ya don't mind if I take the side of the desk that you normally occupy"

"so, you've taken the capital and now have me, I suppose you believe you have won?" Abe asked while sitting down

"well indeed Mr. President, we're sitting in Washington, not Richmond" Captain pointed out

"I will not recognize your rebel government as long as I'm in power" Lincoln said while leaning back in his seat.

"I would not expect anything less Mr.President, however I doubt very much your abilities to govern union policy from a camp in Texas" remarked Captain while standing up and walking to Lincoln's side

"for the sake of your wife and children I will not have you hung, however I believe Abraham Lincoln the politician has very much died" He whispered into his opponents ear before walking out of the room.

Peace is at hand, however we need to see whether we can agree on peace terms

Demand Kentucky and the Arizona and Indian territories- small chance of the Union not accepting this option and the war continuing, decent territory gains and the US loses all cores on CSA territory

Independence is reward enough- War ends at the original border, US loses Cores on CSA territory

Demand All Border States- little chance of being accepted and if accepted increases the odds of a repeat war since they keep cores on the border states we take, however large territory gains

February 6th, 1866

The Confederacy has finally accepted peace with the Union, following a vote the terms were decided that the CSA needed a buffer in case its northern neighbour got any ideas and therefore all border states were demanded, although a bitter peace the Union found the treaty acceptable enough and agreed to recognize the Confederacy as its own government.

According to the treaty, Washington ended up in the Confederate States of America and the Union was forced to pack up and move the capital to Philadelphia

also following the treaty the United States saw fit to update the flag

-The Confederacy continues to expand its army, increasing the army size by nearly 70%, the Yankees appear to be disbanding some of their divisions on their own, either that or they've sent them away from the border and we just cant see them

-A great European War has broken out, France, Spain, and Austria and assorted German minors have declared war upon Prussia, Italy and other German minors

-Mexico has refused to pay back its debts to Spain and has a result has gone to war with the alliance that appears in the strongest position, France, Austria and Spain

"ladies and gentlemen of these Confederate States, I stand before y'all today with a serious situation that demands your utmost attention" he then took a drink of water before continuing

"as everyone is well aware the United States of America have gone out of their way to make life as difficult for us as possible, they have even gone so far as to ally themselves with Mexico in order to force us into a two front war when they choose to start it" The President said before wiping his head of sweat

"well the Mexicans are also at war with France, Spain and Austria, forcing the United States into the same fight as well.

US-Confederate relations are very low, so much so that we cannot guarantee how long peace between our nations will last, I recommend we strike now while our enemies are occupied and the alliance they created is still unreliable" members of congress gasped quite loudly, followed by arguments throughout the building

"Thank ya kindly for listening and I recommend that y'all vote in favour of war with the United States before they can once again threaten our freedom"

Battle of Philadelphia
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/yankcap.jpg

The Invasion has gone as planned so far, the armies of the Eastern front have achieved all early objectives and the USA has been effectively cut in two, the forces under General Scamp were the first to secure an enemy province and then were ordered to assist the forces of General Kiddus and General Ironman who were in danger of being surrounded by a Union division, luckily Princescamp's forces caught the Yankees in time and forced them to retreat.

7 Confederate Divisions met on the field against 4 Federal Divisions, needless to say the combined leadership of General Kiddus and Ironman scored a shattering victory when Confederate manpower advantage caught the enemy off guard and they captured Philadelphia in about a week.

Battle of Chesapeake Bay

http://www.historyplace.com/civilwar/cwar-pix/mon-battle.jpg

With all Yankee troops in full retreat in the Eastern front, The President decided that the Confederate Ironclads could use a bit of a workout and sent them out to take care of the Union navy

Admiral Nodikus led 5 Confederate Ironclads up along the Atlantic Coast and caught 17 Yankee ships, fortunately they were all made of wood and Nodikus pulled out a victory with no enemy ships surviving and his own Ironclads suffering nothing but a few unsightly dents

All Quiet On the Eastern Front

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/BattleofNY.jpg

Generals Princescamp, Kiddus and Ironman have succeeded in destroying the Yankee army based in the Eastern front after a final large clash in New York.

7 Confederate Divisions have met the Union troops once again and have come out victorious beginning a strain of retreats that finally ended when Union troops were forced to surrender, as the Canadian government was unwilling to allow the US army to cross the border.

The final remains of the US navy have been wiped out by Admiral Nodikus who continued to destroy the ships forced out of harbour by the advancing Confederate army, the President has announced "except for a few rebel divisions the Eastern front has been closed.

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/closed.jpg

The Mexican Proposal

Mexican diplomats have met with the President and after long talks an agreement has been reached, Mexico will end its involvement in the war and give Texas back to the CSA in exchange for the Confederate surrender of Kansas city to the USA. Since the terms do not require peace with the US the President has signed, Kansas was recaptured within a week.

Steady Advance on the Western Front

Generals Germaniski and Pugwash have finally hit Union resistance after a long advance with only one battle so far that ended in a Confederate victory, meanwhile in the north Michigan has fallen to General Artagnan after another string of Confederate Victories

Western Front

The Western front has gone amazingly well with only a handful of small battles, while General Kiddus has been busy dealing with various rebels popping up across the occupied land, Generals Pugwash and Germaniski have been responsible for the largest Confederate land gains in the war

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/ouchies-1.jpg

and within three to four months they had accomplished this:
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/fulladvance.jpg

Once again within a decade the two Presidents of American nations, President Johnson and President Captain met in Richmond to discuss terms.

The final surrender of a Union army during the war was shortly after news of Confederate troops coming at the US army from both the north and south at General Grant's base in Eureka, after a long stalemate General Ulysses S. Grant surrendered to General Robert E. Lee

http://staff.harrisonburg.k12.va.us/~cwalton/USHistory/leesurrender.jpg

Meanwhile the two Presidents hammered out the new treaty while the Generals chased around Union troops who had yet to accept the fate of their nation

Election '71

The Whigs under the control of President Captain decided that a new issue would be needed for the election, since the last election was held during the war he felt that as a victorious leader he could bring about great change in the nation this time around.

As the most dominant issue of the election emerged it was quickly decided that the time for a decision on Emancipation had arrived.

The Democrat official policy was that slavery should remain for the time being, the Socialist party "Brothers of the Revolution" campaigned on the platform of reimbursed emancipation.

The problem the Whig leaders saw with these two plans was first of all, Slavery was holding the nation back, and with an oppresssed minority it would be very hard to appear as any kind of government of freedom, secondly the idea of paying people for their slaves would not work as it would bankrupt the nation, the Confederacy at the time only had 1/10 of the total cost needed in order to buy the Africans their freedom.

for the whole election the Whig party just rode out the storm while pointing out problems in the other plans and just avoiding the issue in general and when the election was held President Captain was elected with 80% of the vote.

When the time finally came for a decision on the matter, the Whig party freed the Slaves without compensation to their owners.

The water hit the front of the transports as they neared the target, the Confederate troops adjusted their uniforms and prepared their weapons

"Gentlemen!" General Kan yelled to his troops as they tried to keep their footing, each wave shaking the transport

"This will be the day of judgement for many of y'all, I would just like each and every one of you to know that its been a pleasure serving with you... for this past week"

with that one of the soldiers at the front of the transport yelled back

"FIVE SECONDS!"
"FOUR!"
"THREE!"
"TWO!"
the last number was the longest for the brave men upon the transport this day

"CHARGE!" yelled the General and the Confederate troops jumped off of the transport and begun the charge up the beaches, several of them uttering a mighty battle cry.

one of the natives grabbed a lei and walked toward the General.

"Nooooo! Sir!" one of the Soldiers yelled while diving in front of Kan and grabbing the Lei while falling to the ground.

another native headed toward a grouping of soldiers carrying a coconut with a little straw in it, luckily he was tackled in time.

after a long and messy battle (sand does not mix well with wet uniforms) the General pulled out the Confederate flag and flew it over the Hawaiian government buildings and disbanded the government of Hawaii, who left after being asked.

General Artagnan STOP cease all preparations for invasion STOP we have received word that Britain has taken control of Liberia and we have been trying to purchase it from them STOP things are looking good and if we successfully acquire this land you will be transfered to guard it STOP K THX BAI STOP

Spanish-Confederate War

On January 20th, 1895, President Captain Declared war on the Spanish Empire following the sinking of the CSS Arkansas, immediately 17 Divisions were sent to defend Africa while 15 Divisions under the command of General Octavius went to capture Cuba, the battle to gain a foothold on the Island was fierce, 3 Spanish divisions were destroyed but unfortunately the Confederate army lost 1 of their own divisions.

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/cgard.jpg

Meanwhile a group of rebels decided to take advantage of the distraction the army faced and gain independence, however luckily some troops had been sent from Virginia to the Pacific coast in hopes of reinforcing General Kan's plans to take the Philippines and simply wiped out the rebels on the way.

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/Oklahomarevol.jpg

The Spanish counter attack came in the form of an African invasion, General Artagnan however easily crushed the invading force with the reinforcements he had received, the Spanish have not yet been able to launch another attack after such a defeat.

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/Spaininafrica.jpg

and finally General Octavius captured the rest of Cuba without problem, since the force defending the Island was only stationed in the area that the landing was conducted.

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/occupied.jpg

we've also been offered a treaty by the Spanish, however the question is if we wish to accept it or see what could be gained if we continue, since the treaty only gives us Cuba and Puerto Rico but not the Philippines

Invasion of the Philippines

General Kan, from his base in Hawaii took the extra 14 divisions given to him by high command and made a landing in Luzon without meeting any resistance. Unfortunately this would be the war in which the Confederacy leaned not only standing armies can bring great trouble.

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/phillipines.jpg

The citizens of the Philippines began the largest Guerrilla campaign known to date, whenever the Confederate army moved to secure the next province the Guerrillas would rise up and retake the province. It forced General Kan to split his army into 2 Divisions per province and leave them there in order to move to the next province, this lead to the securing of the provinces but so far over 100,000 Soldiers have been lost to fighting the enemy in this way.

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/Phillipinesrebs.jpg

meanwhile in the Atlantic, Admiral Nodikus of the Confederate Navy sent out his Ironclads left over from the war of succession and attacked enemy shipping, however he also had an ace up his sleeve, following a few requests to the President the latest in naval technology had been sent to aid his plans on the Spanish coast, 3 Brand new Monitor Class ships have been built and an order for an additional three have been placed.

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/navals.jpg

Despite Spanish inability to make any gains or hold a front agianst the Confederate invaders, they have seen fit to decline our offer of peace at only the cost of the provinces we hold, and as a result the President has given the Green light to a plan for the invasion of Spain.

Opening of the Ball- A Confederate Ricky AAR
Part One Thousand Three Hundred and Thirty Seven

1898

The soldiers of the Confederate army had rough times ahead of them, calling divisions away from the defence of Cuba and Virginia in hopes of teaching the Spanish Empire that there are more important things in the world than colonies. Generals Artagnan and Ironman climbed on board a transport with 17 Divisions and orders from the President to force the Spanish to accept Confederate rule of Cuba and the Philippines.

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/Spanishionvs.jpg

The first series of battles went incredibly badly for the CSA invasion force, 4 Divisions were lost in the attempt to first push the Spanish back and then to secure the beach head, the worst casualties suffered in Confederate history, the previous worst being 1 Division during a war with the Union.

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/Battleofburges.jpg

The War depends upon the Confederate ability to win the Battle of Burgos, The Spanish lack enough troops to make up for the losses they are likely to suffer and should the Confederacy lose they will lack the ability to cover any advance made. One Battle decides the course of a war.

All we are saying.....

Newspapers within the Confederacy have worked through the night in hopes of being the first to deliver the news that after the bloodiest war in the CSA's history the Spanish Empire has finally surrendered after the result of the Battle of Burgos.

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/Spains.jpg

In the terms finally agreed upon, Spain agreed to give up Cuba, Puerto Rico and the Philippines in exchange for peace.

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/confedrat.jpg

however, the question pounding away in the back of the Presidents mind is troublesome indeed, during the war several rebellions occurred within territory that was traditionally the backbone of the Confederacy, even Richmond appeared ripe for rebellion. with the new gains of the Philippines, a place made extremely hard to capture more because of its rebels rather than the Spanish themselves, the Confederacy must wonder if its worst enemies are external or internal.

The CSA takes a breather

Not much has changed in the CSA except for the purchase of Jamaica from the British, however internationally as the President has stated "The worlds busy goin ta hell".

The Boer War

http://www.timegun.org/boer_war.jpg

This may be a tricky war to predict, although the British Empire is the strongest military power in the world they seem to have decided to declare war upon Transvaal and Oranje with only 2 divisions in the area, meanwhile they face off against roughly 9 enemy divisions, this war will either be won or lost depending upon how aggressively Britain decides to act.

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/Boer.jpg

The Second Franco-Prussian War

http://www.amitm.com/thecon/francoprussianwar.jpg

Following a visit by the Confederate President to Paris and Berlin to work out the border issue (France owned four provinces in Hanover) in the interests of peace the Confederacy gave France a large amount of technology and money in exchange for these provinces, which were then handed back to Prussia. For some reason France has decided that they could just take the payment and refuse to part with the land, luckily the Confederacy has been able to stay neutral but the official position is "disappointment with blatant French imperialism".

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/Europes.jpg

This as well is up in the air, France has former victories on its side but currently its only ally is Romania who is in no position to alter the course of the war in any conceivable way.

Franco-Prussian War

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/advancesss.jpg

The Prussians started out well, breaking through the French defensive lines and destroying any divisions guarding the border while the French struggled to get its massive army mobilized. The CSA, bitter after what it felt to be a French betrayal of trust sent roughly $120,000 to the Prussians (Jamaica was purchased from the UK for roughly 40,000 just to get an idea of the depth)

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/jjjjjjj.jpg

Finally the line stabilized around Verdun and Chaumont, with the Prussian troops holding a defensive position and 19 French divisions marching towards the front, however this took a turn for the worst when the French army was split into smaller groups and sent against Prussian armies of roughly the same size, the Prussian machine guns mowed the French down while they advanced and then made a counter offensive that pushed the French closer to Paris.

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/italia-1.jpg

Sensing blood in the water, Italy involved itself in the war and marched largely unopposed against an enemy who was far too busy dealing with an actual threat.

In less than a year the Prussian army walked triumphantly into Paris and in late 1901 the German Empire was proclaimed in the Hall of Mirrors, Versailles

Following the Confederate build up in preparation to enter the war, the only thing that needed to be decided was what could be gained by entering in the first place, President Captain decided that a trade off would be necessary, either attack the Central Powers and easily grab a few colonies or attack the Allies and face off against the Royal Navy and allied armies, following a long period of deliberation it was decided that attacking Britain would yield greater gains for the CSA and war was declared (note: the vote passed as oddly only one delegate showed up to the vote.)

A Confederate force lead by General Kiddus is deployed to take British South American possessions

Since the war had been restricted to a colonial war against the British Empire, the Confederacy wouldn't have to worry about landings in Virginia or dealing with France or Russia, as they cared very little about British colonial possessions.

The first successes in the campaign followed shortly after the landing of an additional 17 Divisions by General Princescamp to support the push into British holdings by the 13 Divisions under the command of Generals Ironman and Artagnan

meanwhile in Europe, the Germans are advancing on two fronts but have hit a speed bump as British troops march into Berlin.

Battle of Ivory coast
http://cache.eb.com/eb/image?id=65948&rendTypeId=4

Standing on the deck of the CSS Texas, one of four dreadnoughts under his command, Admiral Nodikus shouted hurried orders to his men as they saw the British ships closing in, by the looks of them they were armoured frigates.

"all hands to battle stations!" Nodikus shouted to his men, intending to stop the British vessels from dropping off more troops to defend Africa. after about an hour the battle was clearly in the favour of the Confederate navy. The Admiral grinned and yelled out an order to the ships under his command to chase the retreating vessels.

"What cowards!" The Admiral yelled as they passed the Russian port of Rooktown, suddenly a loud noise erupted and rocked the CSS Texas hard, causing the Admiral to fall over, he took a moment before standing up and instead listened to the noises around him; the scraping of metal on metal, sailors screaming something about one of the other dreadnoughts and the firing of heavy guns. When the Admiral reached his feet and looked over he saw several Ironclads (left over from the Spanish War) sinking and the CSS Confederate States heading for the bottom, one of the fleets Dreadnoughts.

The shells appeared to be coming from 20 British dreadnoughts who had hid in the Russian port and then attacked the CSA navy as they passed by, Nodikus looked at the carnage until he was tapped on the shoulder by a sailor, obviously frightened and shaking.

"Sir, we should surrender here, it appears we're facing a quarter of the Royal Navy" the Sailor said, hoping for the Admiral to agree

"Son, we have orders to not allow any more British troops in Africa and I don't care if we're facing the whole army of hell" Admiral Nodikus ordered, as the words left his mouth he heard a noise to his right and saw a shell heading straight for him.

In a short amount of time, the Royal navy managed to surround the remains of the Confederate navy who stubbornly continued to fire at the transports hoping to sneak past, by the end of the battle the British fleet sailed away, upset that their troops had been unable to make it to shore but glad the the bulk of the Confederate navy ceased to exist.

Thanks to the inability for Britain to resupply Africa, The armies of General Artagnan and Ironman successfully forced all British armies to retreat to South Africa.

Pacific Invasion

Despite the defeat of the Confederate navy off the African coast, Operations in the Pacific carried on as normal. Loading 17 Divisions into transports and leaving the Philippines, General Kan had his sights on Hong Kong.

As the troops of the CSA army piled out of their landing craft they met no resistance what so ever as intelligence reports after the British landing in Germany they had little troops to spare in the defense of China.
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/cuurent.jpg

After accepting the surrender of the British governor of Hong Kong, the Confederate garrison celebrated the whole night before their march on the other province in China under British control. Kan paid tribute to the conquered residents by playing them the tune "British Grenadiers" to add a bit of irony to the situation.

1916-Continued

Following the capture of Hong Kong, General Kan launched an invasion into the Mergai province of Burma without meeting any resistance, as he advanced he eventually encountered a French garrison but since the war was restricted to Britain neither sides exchanged anything more than dirty looks as the Union Flag was taken down and replaced with the Stars and Bars.

The only skirmish thus far has occurred after the Confederate army was taken by surprise, despite wearing British uniforms the forces approaching the CSA base were flying the French tri-colour, but that problem solved itself when the approaching army opened fire upon the Confederate garrison and then were quickly wiped out.

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/invdsionind.jpg

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/Eurpoa.jpg

President Captain has decided that the well being of the Confederacy outweighs any kind of Central Powers victory and as he has announced in a meeting to his inner circle "that despite the enemy of my enemy being my friend, my "friend" is only useful as long as they keep the enemy tied up" and the CSA is looking into supporting the French financially.

following the capture of Moscow by the Austrians, the Tsar was sent to a camp in Poland while the remains of the Russian army fight more amongst themselves then the Austrians with two separate forces consisting of "White Russians" and "Bolsheviks" fought for what little land existed, although the Bolsheviks quickly gained control of the Russian government.

In a surprise move, the American government has voted to declare war on the Germans in the name of democracy and citing the sinking of a luxury liner known as the Lusitania. The problem is that something isn't bound to happen. Apparently it's quite possibly to go through a converted game without any interesting wars. Quite often nations get too powerful and just invade all the small countries and get even more powerful but are still too scared to take on powers their size. Germany, for example, in this game will probably have a lot of IC making it near impossible for the Allies to do anything against them. Probably the best course of action during the game is to declare war on the Axis. That would make for a very exciting game.

following the purchase of manufactured tanks from Germany, the Confederacy has been the first nation in the world to create a tank division, it has been deployed to General Octavius in South Africa.

 Ironically, Patton's ancestors (http://www.vmi.edu/archives.aspx?id=5299) served in the CSA during the Civil War. :crazyeye:

In the event WWII does break out in Africa, I request permission to drive the Germans and their allies all the back to Tunis. Then we'll hit 'em in Sicily and Normandy. :D

The CSA celebrates as its first planes are created, resulting in the worlds largest air force as nobody else really sees a military application for these flying machines, when asked for comment the President said "well if nothing else we can look at stuff while we're up there."

Following a large trend of unregulated investment and buying on margins the stock market has crashed resulting in closed factories and widespread unemployment. The Confederacy braced for the beating its own industry would suffer.

only to be disappointed.... coupling a small population with 0% taxes on anyone who owns a business the Confederacy has had no additional unemployment and in fact several new factories and modes of transportation have been built, such as the automobile.

and following a phone call from India the President has issued a his deepest apologies to General Kan and his troops, who seem to have been left in India since the end of The great war, and he has promised that they will be picked up shortly and delivered back to good Ol' Dixie

The End

Seconded. Can't congratulate on a fine story if it's not quite completed yet :)

yes, theres a second part called "Here be dragons" I forget the reason for the name but I found it funny at the time.

Also its one update away from being complete but if you read the last update I did do and think logicially its extremely predictable
