Here's a collection of modern day police units. Note on scaling: I know the car and boat are larger than normal. I did not want to make them any smaller because the human figures would look silly if they're tiny. Also, I made these for an urban scenario that I'm working on, and the scale was right for my purposes.

Has the military really developed mind reading to that level?

These are perfect!!!!

Missing the police helicopter and SWAT fast-roping down

Very nice. And don't worry about the size, they can always be resized smaller if needed. :)

These are brilliant. Love the animations on the cruiser and boat. The regular cop was so badly needed too. Today is a good day!

Great work as usual NavyDawg!

I know the police cruiser especially was a much desired unit.

Aargh! And I'm stuck at the office for 2 hours and a half before I can come back home and integrate the SWAT (and marines, and Russian) into my mod!

Excellent units and much needed NavyDawg! :goodjob:
Love the officer getting out of the Police Car shooting and the Policeman taking a "Dive" in the Police Boat Death... The Policeman has been an especially needed unit for the Authorities Faction in the EFZI2 scenario.

Note: You need to adjust the link for the Policeman. The Link just goes to the Downloads Database Page rather than the Policeman Modern Units Download, directly.

Some great niche units - I'm going to have to find a way to use these :)

Best,

Oz

PS - I had the same "problem" as Vuldacon; luckily your cop was at the top of the modern units d/l list.

Pure sweetness!

Are you familiar with Streets of SimCity? 'Cause I'd kill to get a cruiser with MGs and rockets and stuff on it.

One point of criticism: shouldn't the lettering on the hood of the cruiser be backwards, so it's easily legible from a rear-view mirror?
Other than that, fantastic work. :goodjob:

The authorities in EFZI just got a lot cooler! Great units!

Dude! Sooo cool! Now the modern day pirate has some competition. And the SWAT could almost pass as a post-modern infantry....

Just wondering, but is there a chance of getting a police boat with Coast Guard colors? Or I could tinker with it slightly for my own use (if that's fine with you).

You are officially one of the coolest people ever. :D

Thank you, these are all great and much-needed units! BfNY can now have a real police force...

Great Scott! Great work. I could probably use one or two of these guys as cheapo "shut em up" immobile unit in my cities. Hm...

Thanks for all of the comments. Hopefully the car and boat can be used, in spite of the size.

It was hard, actually. It's funny how little everyday things (like getting in and out of a car) can be hard to animate.

That's why those pansies in Hollywood use motion capture, they're not Civ3 unit animating class material like you are.

Very nice work.
Is the cop that get's out of the squad car riding shotgun, or is he the driver?
Not that it matters, but most cops in my neck of the woods (Puget Sound) are solo, so if that's the case with this unit, he's either in England, or we're seeing a mirror image.
But like I said, it doesn't matter. It's a fantastic unit.

They always call in back-up.

Most of the police in our area ride solo. But they also think, so if things appear pretty hot, back-up isn't usually that far behind. Our officers around here are also packing some very serious heat.

----------------------------------------------

On topic: I was watching a tv show about SWAT awhile ago, and remembered that some of the guys on the SWAT team go in with just their side arms. That because they can more easily 'cuff the suspects.
