Well, has anyone heard of WinPOS. I see retail stores use it all the time as the OS for their registers.

What does it stand for?

I have one good guess :D

I used to work at one of those POS cashiering machines like maybe a decade ago during my school holidays. Can't remember what OS then but machine's fr Siemens Nixdoft or something.

I always used to laugh when my manager asked me to work the POS. If you ask me, it's a POSPOS, a piece of sh!t point of sale.

Actually it is Windows XP Embeded...they must have just changed the name....bad move! :)

I like POS!!! POS is a real POS. I wonder if they knew what POS stands for when they created/named it.

Still some of their product names suck.... :lol:
