View Full Version : Factions Eligible for Prime Faction
Provolution Mar 26, 2008, 02:17 PM Factions Eligible for Prime Faction
Alphabetically listed:
Timus the Protector and his Men Leader: Methos, traits Imperialistic and Protective (Timus, Dutchfire, and one more member needs to be named as future officials)
Triad Coalition Leader: Shattered, traits Aggressive and Philosophical (Names written in Coalition Platform, with Stider of Atlantis and NZL of Warlords)
Tribal Council Leader: Daveshack, traits: Financial and Indutrious (Some of the names written in Coalition Platform)
If anyone has a last minute faction platform to bring up, please do so, and I suggest we open the polls tonight, with these three alternatives (and possibly any latecomers coming in last minute).
Anyone ok with this?
pat123 Mar 26, 2008, 03:40 PM Sounds fine to me, but do the other two thirds of the triad have their platforms ready? There is a post on the Protectors faction thread that seems to suggest they aren't ready for a vote.
Provolution Mar 26, 2008, 04:01 PM I think they are ready, since they said they are in the coalition. We have agreed and signed on it.
Methos Mar 26, 2008, 04:21 PM There is a post on the Protectors faction thread that seems to suggest they aren't ready for a vote.
I chose to put Timus's platform into the dialogue, rather than list it official like. In order to make it more clear, I'll add a more direct form so that it is easer to understand after work tonight.
Edit: Mis-read the Protectors comment as applying towards Timus. I guess Timus's platform is understandable.
Provolution Mar 26, 2008, 04:28 PM There are two Protectors, Methos, one of Atlantis, and one you represent, Atlantis is part of the coalition of course.
DaveShack Mar 26, 2008, 05:48 PM I'll be handling the poll. Tomorrow evening, 5pm my time (midnight GMT), according to the "when do we start this" poll.
Provolution Mar 26, 2008, 06:06 PM sounds good to me, this post was more of a reminder, wrap up. All good DS :)
pat123 Mar 26, 2008, 06:08 PM Midnight GMT is 1:00 Am EST, right? Or is it 11:00 PM EST?
DaveShack Mar 26, 2008, 06:23 PM US Eastern time is currently on daylight savings, and is listed as EDT. Unless you're in a location which does not have daylight savings, don't remember if there are any in the eastern zone. The reason I mention it is that we have had a DG citizen in the past from the section of Indiana which doesn't use DST.
EDT is UTC-4, so midnight UTC is 8pm EDT. (UTC means Universal Time Coordinated, and is the new term for GMT)
pat123 Mar 26, 2008, 06:37 PM So, is DST in the summer or the winter? I always thought DST was in the winter, when you "fall back" an hour. We just "sprang forward" an hour two weeks ago. Anyhow, I will be faithfully awaiting the opening of the polls this Friday at 8 pm.
DaveShack Mar 26, 2008, 09:33 PM DST is in the summer. Springing the clock forward makes the sun rise and set an hour later relative to the clock, providing extra daylight (the "saved" daylight) in the evening when people are more active.
Arizona does not use DST, because we have plenty of daylight already.
I get to use that joke at least once a year. :)
Strider Mar 27, 2008, 02:04 PM I'll be handling the poll. Tomorrow evening, 5pm my time (midnight GMT), according to the "when do we start this" poll.
heh... I thought I was handling the poll. Oh well... be my guest shacked one.
DaveShack Mar 27, 2008, 02:57 PM Sorry, didn't remember seeing anyone calling got it. ;)
Provolution Mar 27, 2008, 03:52 PM 2 hours then, for the factions poll.
