Do we want to have Direct Tech for this game.

Direct tech is when you aren't limited by the games usual algorithms when it decides which techs you may research next.

You will be able to pick from all available techs that you have the prerequisites for.

I've lost a game due to not having direct tech before

I think that having direct techs will make the game too easy. If we can choose every possible tech each time then the wonder races will be far less competitive.

I have to agree with duke o' york here. It adds a little challenge and unpredictability to the game.

Yep - Hippo opposes direct tech in all its filthy forms :goodjob: Gives tech an element of unpredictability, and might just screw us out of a wonder or two ;)
