Hi, I'm using the HOF mod for the improved domestic advisor.. but how can I also run or use the eart24 map??

After you have loaded the HoF Mod, you should be able to load up the earth24 map - if it is just a map - by using Play a Scenario to select its WorldBuilder save.

Hmmm, the earth24 mod I downloaded doesn't show a map under Scenarios after I load the HOF mod, maybe I'll experiment with this tomorrow when I'm not tired...
