Shattered
Mar 31, 2008, 02:35 PM
I plan to open the game tommorow. I will do this in CFC chat. (maybe a specific chat room would be nice) The opening will take place publicly at 2200 hours GMT. Sorry this is so late, but whens it 10pm GMT its only 4pm in my area. I will set up the options, open the game, take screenies, and end the session. The save will then be posted. This is open to all, and I expect a big room. Let's get this baby started!

The Enlightened One,
Shattered

We should hold it in #demogame

Also, if you wish to use gallery software instead of the facilities on the forum I have gallery software set up here: http://cfc.croxis.net/gallery/main.php

If you plan on attending I recommend making sure you can get on sometime beforehand. It's easier to help people if we have time to do it in ;).

Ok I'm not very good with the time stuff, so anyone knows how late the game will start in the Paris Time Zone (GMT +1 hours). Is that 22+1=23 hours?

I usually don't get home until 4:30 (I am also central time), so maybe I'll catch the end of it?

Bah, I start work at 4, so I won't be there. I've already tried, chat doesn't work here. BTW, I suggest you not use Locked Modified Assets. When the patch is released, LMA will make things difficult.

methos: ircatwork.com may work for you

So it's 2200 GMT on April 1st?

EDT (-4) - 1800, 6pm
PDT (-7) - 1500, 3pm

The time doesn't make sense, please post what US time zone you're in, and whether daylight savings time is in effect. Unless you're in the mountain timezone and not in Arizona, in which case your time is correct...

Thanks, but work blocks it. Work also blocks the HOF site and main CFC site, yet allows the forums.

I am in central standard time, and am in DLS time as well. Forgot to add the extra hour.

Ok, so central daylight is GMT -5, so will this be 4pm local (2100 GMT) or 5pm local (2200 GMT)?

Provolution

Looks like 1600 local (Shattereds time) to me, which means 22 GMT

Lord Civius

Just so I am absolutely sure it would be 22:00 GMT/ 18:00 (6pm) EST?

My work blocked ircatwork.com too, but i found another one
Try www.mibbit.com
When filling in the server, fill in irc.irc-chat.net without :6666 at the end.

Both of those places are blocked for me, so Methos is probably out of luck too...

However, I may or may not be on, based on whether my son has his T-Ball practice tonight or not.

Can we have a confirmation of Shattered that it really is 21:00 GMT? So that would be 22:00 in the Amsterdam Time Zone (+1 hour) or 23:00 with daylight saving.

I'll be on the chat at 22:00 just to be sure. 8-)

Shattered and I are in the same timezone.....

The timestamp on the post you made that I quoted says 8:30 am. Adjusting from that should help.

For me it says 3:30 PM so thats 7 hours later so... 4 PM + 7 = 11 PM = 23:00

if you have the ability to ssh tunnel I can provide :)

I'm looking at another possibility and that's going through my iphone. It's possible with an unlocked version, but mine is locked and I currently plan on leaving it that way. Hopefully I can find something that allows a locked iphone to use irc chat.

Have you tried backdooring? And if you do figure it out please let me know... I can post on forums, but IRC isn't happening. The two big of a file message :(

I'm more than happy to set up an ssh tunnel to proxxy irc connections if needed. I could also set up an ircatwork type of site as well

I do have access to your website here at work.
