I've looked all over these forums and elsewhere and have seen similar issue, but nowhere that it was resolved. I purchased Civ IV Gold Edition retail CD and didn't have a problem installing it on Vista Ultimate, but when I try to run it or Warlords it will just sit at the loading screen and will eventually error out with a very generic message after a considerable amount of time when trying to run either without compatibility mode or with compatibility turned on for XP SP2. Sometimes it will just sits there and I'll have to kill the process. When I try and run it in compatibility mode for Win NT it will tell me to insert the correct CD-ROM, which is in the drive.
