I'm looking for the following basic palette templates:

Civpedia Large Unit pcx
Civpedia Small Unit pcx
Units_32

Would one of the unit artists out there be able to supply these to me? Basically what I'm looking for is simply a palette with the special colors indexed and then all the non-special colors blanked out or simply left black. Basically like a palette template for a unit flc (shown below).

Many thanks.

For the civilopedia palettes, you do not need a specific template. It just has to be indexed to 256 colors with the last two being magenta and lime-green.

For the Units_32, you can open up that palette from the Units_32 file itself and deal with it from there. In any case, you shouldn't need to be using PEdit for these palettes like you need to for the Flcs.

Micaelus is correct, although I should add if you use Photoshop it is the first 2 in the palette that are the transparency colors.

Quick instructions:
Index pedia icons to 254 colors, then add 2 colors to the palette that don't appear in the image. (typically 00FF00 and FF00FF)
Save the units_32 icon in RGB, because it will be pasted into an existing units_32 sheet that already has a palette.

Thanks guys. I was thinking the PCX files had more special reserved slots in them than they do. They should be no problem to make.

The actual unit palettes I have down pat, thanks to your tutorial and a LOT of help from Vuldacon. :)
