Hello everyone...

Although I seem to have a pretty decent computer:

P4 3 Ghz CPU
1536 MbRam DDR
512 MbRam GPU

and I play with a pretty normal condition setup:

normal size map
6 or 7 civs
normal time

I can't seem to avoid that Civ4 (+warlords + BtS) slows down pretty quick

In the beginning everything runs perfectly smooth but when I approach the middle game (around the 200th turn) everything is stuttering more and more. The most noticable is the scrolling. It remains somewhat playable but I don't think my computer is that bad to have these kind of performance issues...

Does this sound familiar to anyone? And what have people done to improve this?

You probably have some integrated graphics chip

Nope it's a Radeon X1650 AGP videocard. Recently installed it (Yes, with the latest drivers...) I think this might be an MBRam issue... Has anyone got the same experience?
