I've been thinking about how evil spammers are and how nice it would be for them to get a taste of their own medicine. What if your email service gave you the option to "Reply to Spam"? It would go through the usual process of deleting the email and stopping further emails, but it would also send a large email full of random numbers back to the sender, rendering spam unfeasible.

Spammers disguise who they are or use a non replyable address. So I don't think it would work.

spam mail is typically automated so it's not like the spammer is going to care. They probably don't use their personal email address(most likely one that you cannot reply too). So you'd just waste bandwidth and be in trouble for committing a DOS attack:lol:

Worst case scenario is that a spammer is using a computer that's infected so you'd just be spamming some poor shmuck who doesn't know any better.

Then we make non replyable addresses illegal :mwaha:

There is also the problem that by replying, you let them know your email is alive, and that there is a person behind it. You'd simply be helping them.

Noreply addresses have their use, such as confirmation e-mails for when you sign up to a forum and other administrative or news letters that you don't need to reply to.

Make Love not Spam. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Make_LOVE_not_SPAM) Lycos tried this a few years ago, lasted about a month. Our best defense against spam is to make sure everyone we know runs some sort of antivirus and installs all OS updates.

But what if you do want to make that 'special part of the male body' larger? :(

Hire a plastic surgeon.

This is the only 1000th post I'll ever get to make (barring a PC reduction:mischief:), and I think it has been well spent. I had actually just kind of waited around in Forum Games, waiting for the stars to align. And they did. And this just might be the best 1000th post ever made.

Cosmetic sugery is the only non-erectinoal way.

Besides spam mail is just junk and mostly scams anyways. I never get any and if I do start getting some I'm making a new e-mail account.
