View Full Version : Turn Chat Schedule
Shattered Apr 04, 2008, 11:00 AM I have decided to set up a Turnchat schedule for everyone.
Genesis - Shattered - April 1st - 2200 GMT
Session 1 - Shattered - April 3rd - 2100 GMT
Session 2 - Shattered - April 12th - 1900 GMT
Session 3 - Al Knight - 21 April, 00:00 GMT
Session 4 - NZL - 28 April, 20:00 GMT
Session 5 - contest winner - TBA - TBA
(moderator, could you sticky this?) stuck - dave
civplayah Apr 04, 2008, 12:28 PM I tried getting in to the chat, but I couldn't. Could you tell me how to log into the Turnchats?
pat123 Apr 04, 2008, 11:03 PM I don't know about you, but in my hometown, TBA doesn't stand for any date or time. Umm, can at least some tentative dates and times be posted, because this thread isn't really helpful right now.
Shattered Apr 05, 2008, 12:16 AM TBA means "to be announced". I want to let our nation grow internally before we move even more turns ahead.
NZL Apr 05, 2008, 07:35 AM pat123, i can already say that Session 4 will be on a Friday or Saturday evening..
pat123 Apr 05, 2008, 05:57 PM Ok, I suppose I will just have to wait. :(
Lord Civius Apr 06, 2008, 03:30 AM I just took a second job and I work on the normal gameplay hours. There are a few of us that live on a different schedule. Can we maybe :mischief: have a few rounds on the other side of the world???
NZL Apr 07, 2008, 06:02 AM Lord Civius, my session could be on a Saturday or Sunday at a different time [ranging between 12.00 and 23.00 GMT].
If it's on a Friday, it can be somewhere between 00.00 and 05.00 GMT]
AluminumKnight Apr 07, 2008, 09:03 AM My session will likely be on a weekday, probably about 2-4 hours later than Shattered's have been.
NZL Apr 07, 2008, 11:30 AM Two reason why i can't be there then AluminumKnight ;)
Joe Harker Apr 08, 2008, 10:28 AM When's the next TC going to be? :)
Lord Civius Apr 09, 2008, 10:59 AM I have the transcripts from the last turnchat so that is good enough for me. Just please someone make a copy for us guys that can't be there?

A log of the events is required to be posted for each game session. If it isn't, talk to the player for that session, and get the log from them.

NZL Apr 10, 2008, 03:26 AM Shattered, update OP pls.
Vandal Warlord Apr 16, 2008, 12:55 PM Quick question, Next PF election is after Turn Chat 5 correct?
Joe Harker Apr 16, 2008, 12:57 PM Can i also suggest we get moving with this, it's been 4 days since the last turnchat without a time for the next one, if we want to make good time the next one should be within 2-3 days
AluminumKnight Apr 16, 2008, 02:12 PM Yeah, I've been trying to give some time for discussion and such things like Warband stories, histories, and whatnot.
Unfortunately, I'll probably have to delay the session until next week anyway (in fact, Monday might be a good day). I'll try to come up with a time tonight.
ravensfire Apr 16, 2008, 03:28 PM Quick question, Next PF election is after Turn Chat 5 correct?
As best I can determine, the Prime Faction elections don't really have a fixed schedule. Basically, there are elections if the current Prime Faction steps down, if the nation revolts against the current Prime Faction or the Government Civic changes.
Sorry for the vague response. The Core Rules cover the revolt and Gov civic changes, while common sense provides the stepping down, but that's it. The Prime Faction's ruleset isn't well organized as a ruleset, difficult to follow and, as best I can determine, does not cover your question.

AluminumKnight Apr 16, 2008, 03:50 PM Scratch that. Starting 2 weeks after an election, all that is needed is a majority of opposition to the Prime Faction (through polls I assume) to trigger a rebellion. Then any factions can declare their candicacy for Prime Faction, and elections are held. This starts another 2 week period (if the current Prime Faction is overthrown or not) before another rebellion can be held.
The Core Rules answer your question just fine, Vandal.

AluminumKnight Apr 17, 2008, 10:10 AM Shattered is gone, so I will update this thread via this post.
The next session will be held on Monday, April 21st, at 0000 GMT (convenient, no?). This makes it 0100 BST, and 1700 CST (5pm), if my calculations are correct. Please, someone who's better at timezones make sure if I'm right, I want to avoid confusion!
Provolution Apr 17, 2008, 10:12 AM 0000 GMT is 0100 BST, and 0200 CET, not a very EU friendly time, but we may try.

1 AM British time
2 AM Dutch/Central European Time
AluminumKnight Apr 17, 2008, 10:58 AM Gah, told you I was bad with timezones. I apologize for the bad time, but it's the earliest I can do it (unless you guys prefer early morning, I can do it at 10pm CST = 6am BST at the latest).
Provolution Apr 17, 2008, 11:12 AM Early morning is fine too.
NZL Apr 18, 2008, 03:32 AM My session will take place at:
Monday 28th of April at these hours:
GMT 20:00
London 21:00
Brussels 22:00
New York 16:00
Los Angeles 13:00
Perth 04:00 [Tuesday 29th of April]
Sydney 06:00 [Tuesday 29th of April]
DaveShack Apr 18, 2008, 06:39 PM Can we get confirmation on when the previous session will be run?
Furiey Apr 18, 2008, 06:51 PM Reading back through the thread it looks like we have:
21 April, 00:00 GMT, Aluminium Knight
28 April, 20:00 GMT, NZL
We really need the OP updating.
NZL Apr 19, 2008, 07:18 AM Shattered is absent cause his grandfather [rip] passed away.
I'm sure he will update when he gets back.
DaveShack Apr 19, 2008, 12:49 PM Or you could ask a friendly mod. I went ahead and edited it.
Furiey Apr 19, 2008, 02:47 PM Thanks friendly Mod!
DaveShack Apr 19, 2008, 03:01 PM This is a bit off-topic for the thread, and will make sense only to veteran DGers... but can't resist... ;)
Should we try to schedule a session around the time for orange juice & corn flakes? :D
Provolution Apr 21, 2008, 06:48 AM Ok, the game commences as planned with Aluminum Knights play 0000 GMT, 0100 BST or 0200 CET tonight. Now that is pretty much settled.

Regretfully i'm at work when the US has orange juice & corn flakes, otherwise, i'd be happy to Mr. Friendly Mod ;)
w00ter Apr 21, 2008, 09:49 AM Sorry but 0200 AM (Dutch) is just impossible for me. I hope someone posts the chat so I won't miss anything.
DaveShack Apr 21, 2008, 02:34 PM Regretfully i'm at work when the US has orange juice & corn flakes, otherwise, i'd be happy to Mr. Friendly Mod ;)
One of our long-term DG veterans lives in the UK, and the sessions which worked out for her were at about midnight pacific time -- breakfast time there. I tend to be the one who plays at such a ghastly hour. ;)
AluminumKnight Apr 21, 2008, 02:46 PM In retrospect, my time could probably be better for everyone, but we'll see how this works out. I did ask if I should move it and the only response I got was "Early morning works fine too"...
w00ter Apr 21, 2008, 02:56 PM Maybe we should play the one time in the USA morning and the other time in the USA evening so that European players can participate in the turnchat as well without having to sleep during college.
Furiey Apr 21, 2008, 03:19 PM 21 April, 00:00 GMT: Did this session take place?
w00ter Apr 21, 2008, 03:22 PM The session will take place in about 3 hours and 40 minutes I think.
Furiey Apr 21, 2008, 03:25 PM So it's 21 April 24:00 GMT/22 April 00:00 GMT then? (the time is currently 21 April 20:21 GMT)
w00ter Apr 21, 2008, 03:27 PM Hmm good point.. it should be 22 april 00:00 GMT and 21 april 24:00 GMT!
DaveShack Apr 21, 2008, 04:57 PM 21 April, 00:00 GMT: Did this session take place?
Our DP forgot to roll the date forward -- 22 April, 00:00 GMT.
Oops, there were more replies on the next page... I always forget to check that.
Furiey Apr 30, 2008, 03:44 PM What's the plan for the next session?
When is it likely to be?
Seidrik_The_Gray May 01, 2008, 09:16 AM Good question. I am unclear as to whether NZL is finishing the fifth session and we go to ellections or if I am running a session prior to us going into the ellections.
dutchfire May 02, 2008, 12:54 PM If we (ARP) are running the session, I could do it at:
Sunday 04-05, 13.00 GMT
Lord Civius Sep 04, 2008, 05:25 PM Designated Player- Civplayah
Date- Saturday the 6th of September.
Time- 10:00 AM New York, 3:00 PM London, 4:00 Amsterdam.
ONLINE
Lord Civius Sep 22, 2008, 11:34 PM Joe Harker will play Wednesday Sept 24 at the time indicated when he sets up the instruction thread.
Lord Civius will play the next TC Monday Sept 29 at 3:00AM GMT. This is Sunday 11:00PM for me in EDT.
TCN will play the TC after the Sunday TC, but will not know what day next week until Friday.
thecommonnate Sep 27, 2008, 01:34 PM I was going to say that I could play around 4:00 PM Tuesday Pacific Time, but I'm having trouble sorting out how much time that would give us in-between TCs...
My offer stands though, I might be able to push it to Thursday.
Cyc Sep 27, 2008, 04:16 PM In your time zone, Nate, the Sunday TC would be at 2000, or 8pm. So your Tuesday TC would give us anbout 44 hours to prepare.
thecommonnate Sep 27, 2008, 05:34 PM Okay, then that would work out fine, thanks for that Cyc, I wasn't thinking that logically...
thecommonnate Oct 06, 2008, 11:22 PM 1889 can play an offline session at 0700 GMT on Friday.
TCs after this will be handled by the new office positions.
Furiey Nov 02, 2008, 08:23 AM So, we have a new government and we need to keep this game moving.
Rather than wait for one turnchat to end before finding someone to play the next, please, everyone interested post so we can get a schedule going.
Unfortunately I can't run BTS so I can't DP.
Please, post if you're interested!
Vandal Warlord Nov 02, 2008, 11:22 AM I am definatly interested!
1889 Nov 03, 2008, 09:31 AM I am definatly interested!
Great Vandal, and when do you think that might be? Thursday may be good as it gives folks a few days to comment on tonights TC.
Vandal Warlord Nov 03, 2008, 09:57 AM Friday, if possible.
Furiey Nov 06, 2008, 03:26 PM Hi Vandal, we need a thread for your session!
Vandal Warlord Nov 08, 2008, 07:40 AM Ahhh! RL has hit me hard, and will not be able to do the save!
Furiey Nov 08, 2008, 08:23 AM 1889 has scheduled in the next one. Will you be able to do the next one Vandal, or will you need a bit more time to get on top of RL again?
