Introduction
I'm starting a new epic game as the Spanish, and here are the settings I picked:

I haven't played an Emperor solo game in a long time, and the Spanish aren't very good, so I have no idea how challenging this will be. Maybe it will be one of the only stories where the author loses! :goodjob:

But the real purpose is to write a story. One of conquest, blood, and death. Because everyone knows that the only path that is the only path that the name of the stranger. He called himself, the Inquistor, the Grand Inquistor, can take...

Chapter One

For millenia, they wandered. Through mountains of snow and vast open plains, over oceans in rickety hollow log watercraft and through arid, dusty deserts. And they learned knowledge; that of irrigating land to produce the wealth of food, that of roads to clear paths so humans may tread the Earth faster, and that of mines to extract the natural resources of the Earth. And they developed a crude system of symbols, to communicate, to understand. And in their hearts they developed a way to honor their ancestors, burial sites sacred and protected from the wild beasts that roamed the lands.

One day, in a time long past, A Stranger approached them. Cloaked in robes of brilliant, yet near transparent white, he came to them, and the people revered Him. He taught them things, the forementioned knowledge, and he taught them how to treat the Earth and each other with care and kindness.

Yet two years after his coming, the tribe was set upon by a wild tribe, armed with axes and implements of war. They ravaged the tribe, looting their few belongings and taking their goods, burning down their humble encampment. And that was the day, the mysterious stranger, Giver of Knowledge and Light, disappeared.

A New Order, led by an aspiring young man, who had previously been in charge of the ritual of burial, came to power. He told them that the Stranger had been vanquished from the Earth because they had sinned, and that was also why they were raided by the evil wild. The tribe would be devout, it would be strong and faithful, and it would crush those who had so sullied thethe one who would lead them to glorious victory under the Gods.

And so the tribe learned the ways of war, fueled by their belief in the return of the Stranger. And three years later, they set upon the marauders that had so marred them, and won a crushing victory near the coast where the river spills into the ocean next to plains of sugar plants. The night was one of flowing blood, as the rival tribe was destroyed and their men massacred, and the triumphant Inquistor told them that in their honoring of the Stranger,
they had won His favor of the Gods and gave them power.

Later that night, a man, dressed in shabby robes, unlike that of flowing white one had previously worn, came to the new residence of the Inquistor. It was a ghastly sight, with the skulls of fallen enemies forming columns around the thatched house. And yet the primitive stone building was built with awnings of gold, spoils of massive victory.

The people of the tribe did not recognize the return of their legendary hero. He who had so been honored and spoken of in their epics- was now unrecognizable to them and their legend in his humble clothes.

Yet when the Inquisitor saw his visitor, recognition filled his eyes. He told him to come inside to the private corners of his residence.

"Salutations, milord. I pray that you are contented with the progress we have made in your enlightened absence," he said curtly.

"I wish I could speak of that, and yet- Violence and treachery! These people should not be slaves of spoils and conquest. Where is the respect for their brother man?"

"Why, why should we have respect for those who have so wronged us? We do to them as they would to us, and we shall be triumph in your Glory."

"No! Why would you sully my name with the wretched violence you have caused? I came to teach these people the honor of peace! Do not tarnish that!"

The Inquisitor opened his mouth, and closed it without a sound. He paced the dark room, and then he came back, face to face with the Stranger.

"These people," he breathed. "They are not bound to peace. Do you not know their instinct is that of bloody struggle and combat? They were uncivilized savages before you came to them, and look at them now! They cannot recognize you after your absence. They spit on you as an idiotic beggar, unable to provide."

He looked out at the stars. "Why have you come now to hinder us? We hold the gifts that He has offered us. Men are scared of the unknown, yet there is nothing to be frightened of. We shall conquer, and plan the universal happiness of man!"

The stranger looked at him in shock. "Then you honor not I and my Gods, but betray them! Do you even believe?"

"Perhaps not. Yet they will believe in me, for I, as blessed ruler of the people, have been chosen as the immortal conquerer! I, the Grand Inquistor!"

And the Inquisitor lunged at the Stranger with a hidden stone knife, piercing through his chest and plunging through the heart.

When the morning came, the Inquisitor gathered his people. He announced, "Many of you may have heard a scream through the night. It is the last of the sinning assassins, who wish to destroy the knowledge and the light the Stranger has brought us."

The people looked at him, first in fear, and then in awe, and cheered.

"And yet, after I had been victorious, the Gods and their Messenger came to me with a portent. We are the Chosen! We shall conquer and we shall be Caesers, for we are the ones who the Stranger blessed with the power of Knowledge! We shall not be stopped! From here we will build our great city, and from here we shall inherit the Earth!"

Looks interesting Kraz. I might be lurking, but can I suggest that you either edit and resize the screenshots, or put them in spoilers? Long pictures mess up text, and scrolling over to read every line is such a pain that I doubt I'd continue to read.

Meep. O.o; Good story so far though. =) I'll be watching and reading...it'd be appropriate if there was a 'Theocracy' government...
