Development needs:
Workboat will net the fish on the next turn, tile will be 5 :food: 2 :commerce:. Work instead of pigs.
Pasture on the pigs will make the tile 6 :food: 1 :commerce:.
With fish and pigs improved, health and happy limit will both be 5.
Copied to another thread, since people didn't pay any attention to the "this is an info thread discuss elsewhere" notice.
dutchfire Apr 06, 2008, 03:06 AM Why in the name of all what's holy are we working the forest instead of the horses?
w00ter Apr 06, 2008, 03:24 AM good point, maybe this screenie is outdated.
Lord Civius Apr 06, 2008, 04:25 AM I just checked the most recent save (turn 15) and indeed this screenie is up to date. I suggest that Ozog immediately send his legion of laborers South to Blastoids Stables. For here we gain extra gold for our soothsayers research.
NZL Apr 06, 2008, 04:45 AM Somebody must've forgotten to switch that after we discovered AH..
Provolution Apr 06, 2008, 04:47 AM I think we lost 1 turn there, but we were all surprised by getting Animal Husbandry from the 2nd village, after getting agriculture in the first.
Ballazic Apr 06, 2008, 09:47 PM We just discovered horses, and as your leader of the way of the people. I will get us to work on those horses.
Its one of the many things that I plan for the next turn set ;)
Ballazic Apr 06, 2008, 09:49 PM Also next turn we will be working the fish rather then the pigs, we will have the same production, but a major increase in commerce and food.
Joe Harker Apr 08, 2008, 04:11 AM have we got any workers?
NZL Apr 08, 2008, 07:42 AM Not yet Joe, first one will be produced after scout i thought..
Joe Harker Apr 08, 2008, 09:22 AM why not i thought it would be the first thing we built after the woakboat??!!!
Diamondeye Apr 08, 2008, 12:47 PM why not i thought it would be the first thing we built after the woakboat??!!!
I believe this is because the scout is done same turn as growth, which allows an additional citizen to help get the worker out. Although I still think Worker should be prioritized as we have horses to improve...!
AluminumKnight Apr 08, 2008, 12:52 PM I think this is the reasoning, because it times well with growth. I was in favor of doing a worker as fast as possible; this solution is fine by me.
Provolution Apr 08, 2008, 03:05 PM Remember the warrior returns now, to let a scout handle the scouting from now on. We only have one warrior at large, remember.
joncnunn Apr 08, 2008, 05:40 PM I propose that after the scout is built, a worker be built immedately following this.
We may be ready to found another city then.
I also propose that following the workers creation and it's building the Pasture in road on the Horse tile that it build a road thru my tile (NE) and then a Pasture and road on the Pigs.
Diamondeye Apr 09, 2008, 03:56 AM A small detail; the pigs are riverside (for info in Original Post)
Vandal Warlord Apr 09, 2008, 05:06 PM I propose,and/or suggest, that after building the worker we build another warrior. We may need extra defence early if we don't build the great wall!
joncnunn Apr 09, 2008, 06:12 PM I would concur since I'd want a warrior to protect the settler.

joncnunn Apr 09, 2008, 06:14 PM Yes, but I'd still prefer a road-connection to the Pigs so if a barb warrior comes around it can't raid our Pigs.

Ballazic Apr 10, 2008, 10:58 AM Um I was planning that we were going to get the scout contstructed as to have our warrior guarding our city. And produce a worker-tiles i want to work asap, horses, pigs, roads for both.
After I was planning to build a warrior and then a settler.
What do you guys think?
For those of you who don't know, I am in the Philosophers, and its my job to micromanage the capital and choose production.
Seidrik_The_Gray Apr 10, 2008, 12:35 PM I'm sure that with better participation during the turnchat (not knocking anyone by the way, especially since weekends are bad for me) this could have been picked up. However, it was just a mystake bread out of the heat of the moment.
We have only lost one commerce point, and I'm sure that the Triad is going to be more careful in the MM department from now on.

Thats what I meant! the warrior AFTER the worker!
AluminumKnight Apr 10, 2008, 01:32 PM Remember the warrior returns now, to let a scout handle the scouting from now on. We only have one warrior at large, remember.
As long as the warrior is circling around, sure, we might as well have him guard the capital. However, barbs won't threaten for a while still and we don't have to fear a super-early rush from the AI, so it's not necessary to guard the capital just yet. We could wait, produce the next warrior before the settler and use that warrior to guard the city founded by said settler, while our next build be yet another warrior used to garrison Arete. We could, perhaps, do a larger circle with our scout warrior and have him garrison the 3rd city (that is, if he doesn't get eaten).
Ballazic Apr 10, 2008, 04:23 PM Thats very true. I am being a little safer then sorry in my approach just cause if anything bad did happen, I would be the first to blame. What does this body think?
2nd warrior before settler or after.
Vandal Warlord Apr 10, 2008, 04:55 PM I'm going with after!
By the way... does anyone know wha our 2nd city is gonna be named?
Ballazic Apr 10, 2008, 05:34 PM Thats up the protectors faction. It was stipulated that our religious cultural city would be named and largely governed by them and that the warlords faction would run the military city. This was all part of our coalition plan.
Anyways I am starting to see the merits of after. We need our second city soon.
civplayah Apr 15, 2008, 04:33 PM I was thinking we could name the city New Giruvegan, in reference to the fact that it is a religious city.
Vandal Warlord Apr 16, 2008, 05:07 AM If our seccond city is to be a religious one, then it should be named something like.............................................. nevermind:blush:
Diamondeye Apr 16, 2008, 06:43 AM If our seccond city is to be a religious one, then it should be named something like

Thankyou for not goin "Jerusalem!" or "Terayama!" or something just as ridiculous. We'll decide it on our factional forum if there are no other inputs...?
NZL Apr 16, 2008, 07:36 AM i'd say: Zion! :p
Provolution Apr 16, 2008, 08:53 AM I think mining and roading up towards the mountains should be priority now.
Ballazic Apr 16, 2008, 10:26 AM Yes, good more hammers and getting reading for the warlord city, is a huge priority.
Vandal Warlord Apr 16, 2008, 11:40 AM Thankyou for not goin "Jerusalem!" or "Terayama!" or something just as ridiculous. We'll decide it on our factional forum if there are no other inputs...?
Ok I got one now!.............................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .....................[BLEEP!!!]
DaveShack Apr 17, 2008, 01:40 AM Umm, what?
Diamondeye Apr 17, 2008, 01:43 AM Umm, what?
