I'd like to play a game where I don't know if I'm on a pangaea, or archipelago, or continent, etc. Is there a way that I can get a completely random map, where the only thing I specify is the size?

Refar Apr 09, 2008, 12:24 AM Finally a occasion for some shameless self promotion here :p ... Try the Random Map Script from my signature. It basicly does exactly what you ask for. D_almighty Apr 09, 2008, 01:52 AM The 'Shuffle' map option randomly chooses between Pangaea, Archipelago, Continent, or Fractal map type. That's the option I usually pick, along with random leader and random climate.:crazyeye::crazyeye::crazyeye: adrianj Apr 09, 2008, 06:36 PM Ah, Shuffle. I was curious about that. Odd that they broke with the trend, and didn't just call it Random. I'll be playing on shuffled maps from now on. peacenik Apr 09, 2008, 07:40 PM Refar's Random Script Chooser is much better than the standard 'shuffle' option. Its worth checking out in the Map Scripts forum and/or download section. Walliard Apr 09, 2008, 10:30 PM Ah, Shuffle. I was curious about that. Probably to distinguish it from a specific script that was truly random, sort of like Fractal. So if you want a true surprise, be sure to avoid that window. |
