And I havn't really played EUIII for a few months...
ComradeDavo Apr 11, 2008, 05:38 AM My games updated to Napoleans ambition 2.2, but if you guys are going to be playing that then I might be up for it depending when you wanna play. I'm pretty new to the game though.
ComradeDavo Apr 11, 2008, 08:42 AM Just to mention of the subject of EU3 they are working on another expansion, and it looks like a big imrpovement. In Nominee is what it's called.

Two of the major features that we have been working is the adaptable strategic AI and the mission system we have been developing. Of course we are aiming for hundreds of generic context-sensitive templates for missions, but the core of the missions will be the historical missions that countries will
get.
So what makes this so cool then? Three things in our opinion..
1) Countries will feel alot different as you play them, and you will get a feeling of countries behaving historically AND plausible gamewise at the same time. This is not something that has ever been possible before in a game.
2) Our new AI can analyse missions and will perform them.
3) You as a player get more involvement when playing, as you will be "guided" to discover the carribean or defend the holy faith against heretics
Als they are doing a 'rebels with a cause' feature to make rebels alot better, which is something I am looking forward to.
Maniacal Apr 11, 2008, 01:29 PM So, what does this mean though if I want to cheat and colonise the Caribean as Venice before Christopher Columbus discovers it?

I'm nto sure, from what I can gather it won't stop you doing that, but will give certain countries (like spain) a mission to do so. Not really sure on specifics yet, i'd advise reading the treads on the paradox forums, the paradox guy(s) seem to answer alot of questions in them.
Captain2 Apr 11, 2008, 06:40 PM ah, so it would stop the Teutonic Order as comp from doing that I suppose?

I think thats the idea, to get the a.i. to act more historically and give you as the player more to aim for, which is good in my book :)

Hmm... I might get EUIII then. It looks like they're putting in a lot of effort to make this a great game.
What do you guys think?
I got a bit turned off because a lot of players criticized how it wasn't as good as EUII.

EU3 is less structured than EU2, with minimal use of Historical events. Many people feel that EU2 is more realistic. However, EU3 has much better graphics. It is truly one of those things where both are excellent for different reasons...

I think Inn Nominee is going to give it a bit more of an 'historic' flavour:)
Bast Apr 19, 2008, 08:18 PM Okay thanks. I will get it. Do you need Napoleon's Ambition to play In Nomine?

I think so too. I doubt they're going to put so much time and effort into EU III only to let it be known as the one that's "ahistorical".

That's true...
