View Full Version : The Hills Have Eyes
one2tieyourshoe Apr 09, 2008, 09:13 PM So I got an event that I've never gotten before, or at least this late in the game. "A small tribe of friendly locals have granted refuge to our beleaguered Mobile Artillery". First of all, it wasn't beleaguered. It was missing maybe like 1 health point. Second of all, who are these hill people and why have they not made themselves known to my IRS and my government control and why do they know how my M109A6 Paladins work!?!?!?
vra379971 Apr 09, 2008, 09:33 PM They are helping your troops INSIDE THE MA.
As for who they are, they are clearly hermits living in the wilds.
As for why you don't know them...you are cleary running some poor civics...Free Speech and Universal Sufferage?! Pah! Try some Police State and Vassalage if you REALLY want info delivered on time.

Police State and Bureaucracy. You better believe I got my secret police working overtime to find the rest of the Appalachian-style people. And I don't want their grubby little klepto carnie hands near my Paladins. My troops are trained to machine gun civilians if they get too close. :ar15:
LordMachiavelli Apr 09, 2008, 10:56 PM They are the retired engineers and mechanics who designed your M109A6 Paladins. You have left them with too little retirement to live comfortably in the big city, and they now live in shacks in the hills.

See, there's your problem - secret police. I'll loan you my not-so-secret police - they're not as sneaky, but VERY effective...

Bushface Apr 10, 2008, 12:42 PM I get an image of skin-clad hunters polishing the gun-barrel while withered crones succour the crew with mysterious herbal brews . . .
