asioasioasio Apr 11, 2008, 04:57 PM The 39 M Csaba was an armoured scout car produced for the Royal Hungarian Army during World War II.
I've used model made by lemonsong (I edited it a little bit and reduced the polycount from 2800 to around 850) and texture from CMMod by Uncle Tgt (heavly reedited to meet Civ4 standards and UVW of model and with added dirt and scratches).

It took whole afternoon. Editing model and texture is faster than making it from the begining (in this case i would work on it for probably 3-4 afternoons) :)

It is Hungarian :). The unit was in my far plans. But Avain requested it. Since i found model on Turbosquid and texture on CMmods i moved it up in queue

asioasioasio Apr 12, 2008, 03:13 AM Yeah one of the missing civilizations in Civ4. I was really angry when Firaxis told that from Central europe it'll be Holy Roman Empire instead of for example Poland, Hungary and Austria. :(
It'll find home also in WW2 1939 Mod - armored car for Hungary :)

avain Apr 15, 2008, 03:31 AM asio, do you know how I can avoid the unit from emitting smoke even if it's not damaged? It has to do something with the damage states, no? Does this mean the unit has to be modified somehow?

Can you please remove it? Will it then also smoke when it's damaged?

There wouldn't be smoke coming from it when it's damaged either. :p
Asio, are the wheels animated? I mean, do they turn with the moving vehicle, or just slide? I can probably fix the smoke issue my way but if you've done special animations than mine won't be as good. :p i.e. the wheels won't turn. But in civ, it might not be too noticeable.

The wheels are sliding. It bases on the tank animations that firaxis gave.

Try this out. :p Use the tanks XML and animations, just tweak the scale to your needs.

I hate to sound ungrateful:eek:, and most probably you spent some time with this model:salute:, but I kinda liked the original animation (it's 'buzzing' up-and-down like a car and it shoots from a machinegun not a tank gun...). At first it seemed I saw damage smoke after wounding it, but couldn't reporduce on next try (might be I screwed up sg).

you won't believe what can be based on animations of tank that firaxis gave as example :D I even animated sharicks V2 missile to work more like a tactical missile not raher icbm (it was before bts) using firaxis tank animations :lol:

Ok i'll try to fix it i have whole animation setupped (the machinegun instead gun) i just need to tweak effects, so np.
