For some reason I don't get the airlift option in Warlords on my Mac... why is that? Too heavy for the aeroplanes?

View Full Version : Why can't I airlift modern armor? Zaimejs Apr 13, 2008, 10:49 AM For some reason I don't get the airlift option in Warlords on my Mac... why is that? Too heavy for the aeroplanes? Welnic Apr 13, 2008, 10:14 PM Modern armor uses airlifts just like every thing else. The unit has to start its turn in the city, and you can only airlift one unit per city. Other than that it should work. peter grimes Apr 14, 2008, 07:46 AM City requires an airport, as well. dojoboy Apr 14, 2008, 09:21 AM And, I believe you can only airlift once per city per turn. Well, what Welnic said. Zaimejs Apr 16, 2008, 11:10 AM I know the rules to airlifting. I think I didn't start the turn in the city. But it seems to have spanned two turns... I could be wrong. Thanks. iamliberal Apr 21, 2008, 04:18 PM I think in older versions of Civ I could move units across railroads to a city with an airport and then arilift them during the same turn, just as long as their movement wasn't all used up yet. But in the current version, I learned you literally have to start in the airport city to airlift. Good luck! Endure Apr 21, 2008, 05:28 PM Could be the city your airlifting to has already accepted an airlift that turn. Cities can only accept one airlift per turn as well. Wolfshanze Apr 22, 2008, 09:38 PM A) Unit must START turn in the city he is to be airlifted from. B) Each city with an airport can only airlift ONE unit out of the city... if you "accidentally" airlifted another unit from the city you wanted to airlift a certain unit, the outgoing airlift is "used up" for the turn and you must wait another turn. |
